Southend Knife Murder Outside Football Ground Horrifies Residents

By James Simons -

Residents  of a block of flats close to Southend football grounds have expressed horror after a murder occurred so close to their homes. Around midnight , yesterday, a man was stabbed to death, a few yards from Southend United Football Club’s stadium, Roots Hall, late on Thursday night.

The attack happened  on Roots Hall Drive, a short cul-de-sac behind the stadium. The victims is said to be in his thirties, and died from the stabbing to his leg before medics could save him. The same night, another stabbing occurred  in Southend , very close to Southend Central station. Officers say t he victim  was ambushed by thugs on pushbikes a short walk away in the town centre. One female neighbour who resides in the area told The Eye Of Media.Com : this is horrifying to think that a killing has happened so close to home. Without knowing precisely why it happened, it makes you conscious of how dangerous a city we live in even if it does not seem apparent all the time.

A lot of people in this town drink excessively and get violent at night. Many young people here are on all sorts of drugs, you just don’t know who people are these days. Another woman, who did not want to be named said: ”Southend has many crazy people. It is worrying when we hear these kind of things. I have heard of one girl and one man, who were both attacked in the last week by strangers for no reasons. I am talking of a complete unprovoked attack. This is horrible news for us”

It is unclear whether the attack in Southend Central was related to the earlier killing by the football stadium. Some of our contacts in the Southend area told The Eye Of Media.Com that the stabbing by the station involved two black males, in which one chased the other and stabbed him in the head. He said ”there was blood everywhere”. The stabbing is symptomatic of a gang culture that has been forming up in the Essex town, which is a popular destination for sight seers in the summer period.

Some sources of this publication say  many gangsters and drug pushers from other parts of the Uk consider the town a fertile ground for pushing drugs. They also consider the rivalry level in terms of danger, to be less severe than in London and other parts of the Uk.

Earlier, this month,  21 year oldJoe Paffey was sentenced to life imprisonment for stabbing 19-year-old Fabian Kacica to death in Southend, Essex, in May 2018. He was told he will have to serve a minimum of 23 years for the killing. His Co-accused Aidon Pearce,  was also sentenced at Basildon Crown Court to 11 years in jail for manslaughter and attempted robbery.  The fact of two stabbings in one day my be a sign that the two stabbings are related, or just an ominous sign that the town is doomed to violence, and there may be more to come escalating from these two stabbings.
