Singer Olly Murs has proudly announces the birth of his first child with wife Amelia.
The 39-year-old star took to Instagram to share the joyous news, posting a heart warming photo of the couple walking down the hospital corridor, hand in hand, with their newborn cradled in a car seat.
In the caption accompanying the touching snapshot, Murs expressed his overflowing love for their bundle of joy, revealing the new born’s name: Madison. He wrote, “Our mini Murs has arrived. Madison, we love you so much already x.”
The couple’s journey to parenthood has been eagerly anticipated since they revealed their pregnancy news in December. Now, with the arrival of Madison, their happiness knows no bounds.
Murs and Amelia’s love story has captured the hearts of fans since their star-studded wedding in July 2023, held on the picturesque Osea Island in Essex.
The ceremony, complete with a festival dubbed “Murs Fest,” was a testament to their love and commitment to each other.
The romantic proposal, set against the backdrop of a south coast clifftop during the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday in 2022, marked a milestone in their relationship, paving the way for their journey towards marriage and now parenthood.
While Murs first rose to fame on The X Factor in 2009, his success in the music industry has been unparalleled, with seven albums under his belt and four number-one singles in the UK.
Yet, amidst the glitz and glamour of his career, Murs finds his greatest joy in the role of fatherhood, embracing the new chapter with open arms.
Murs was swamped with congratulations from friends and fans Radio presenter Mark Wright commented: “Buzzing for you both guys. Love yas x.”
