Senior Royals Under Pressure To Strike Deal With Sussexes

By Ashley Young-

Senior Royals are under pressure to strike a deal with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after the pair announced plans to withdraw as senior royals last week.

The Queen has summoned Charles, William and Harry to an all important  historic summit at Sandringham on Monday to marshal out the Royal Family’s future.

It comes after it emerged that Meghan Markle apparently said she could ‘not take anymore’ and decided along with her husband that the pair will step back from royal duties and  move between the Uk and the U.S. The Queen was said to be hurt by the announcement.

Rumours that Meghan’s PR team is already in touch with major U.S networks and chat show queen Oprah Winfrey for a full interview at the expense of the royal family is said to be a worrying issue for senior royals, but such rumours remain unconfirmed.

.Other crucial issues that would need to be addressed during today’s Sandringham talks includes who will pay for the high security cost of protecting the couple and their baby son if they spend large portions of the year in Canada America.

There have been some whispers that the couple themselves may be prepared  for paying their own security costs themselves. There has been no official confirmation about the precise reason the Dutch and Dutchess Of York made this move against the advice of the Queen , but a number of sources have indicated that Meghan has felt maltreated by other royals and that continuing in her normal royal duties isn’t working for her.

The pair also announced that media access to their events will engage with grassroots media organisations and young, up-and-coming journalists as from April and invite specialist media to specific events/engagements to give greater access to their cause-driven activities, widening the spectrum of news coverage.

They said they would no longer operate through the royal rota which traditionally prioritises the release of information to the main Uk tabloids. It seems that the decision by the Dutch and Dutchess Of Sussex is unlikely to change entirely, especially as they have gone to great lengths to make the announcement in print on their site.

They acknowledged the transition as a big one, but said they had reflected upon them internally, although such reflection was without the approval of the royal family.
