Comedian Russell Brand is due to perform with Louise C.K at benefit show in aid of supporting veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder. Sales for the show, ‘An Amazing night of Comedy’ went out today ranging from $49 to $149
Jim Gaffigan and Vanessa Bayer are also scheduled to perform at the April 30 event at the New York City Center, according to the David Lynch Foundation..
Lynch is an advocate of Transcendental Meditation, popularized by the Beatles in the 1960s and now used for treating post-traumatic stress, depression and other afflictions. Proceeds from the comedy show will go to the foundation’s initiative “to bring stress-reducing, evidence-based meditation to veterans who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder.”
Brand is known for his extreme taste for shocking jokes and radical comments with the tendency to offend. However, he has a large fan base that like him, though some have turned against him for some of his hard hitting comments. Brand who once gatecrashed a newsroom in Australia, is one of the most unpredictable human beings one could meet. Hopefully, we will see a very sensitive side to Brand in New York.
