Raging Thug Who Escaped Jail After Assaulting Landlord

By Andrew Young-

A thug who escaped jail after assaulting a landlord is locked in a court battle to remain at the property despite not paying rent for a year.

48-year-old Christopher Nyala from Plumstead was given a 26 months suspended sentence at Beckley Heath Magistrates Court for punching his victim in the face and causing her eyes to swell.

He was ordered by the judge to carry out unpaid work for 240 hours within the next 12 months. As part of his restraining order, he was told he must not use any threatening words against the landlady. He was also ordered to pay her 1,000 pounds fine for the assault. In a separate civil case against him by the landlord, Nyala was granted a fresh two months notice of eviction, after he denied receiving the recorded delivery notice of eviction by the landlord. This means the landlady lost her money on legal fees for a case she thought was straightforward.

The victim’s anonymity is being withheld for security purposes, and the aggrieved woman plans to launch an appeal to the Courts of Appeal. A legal issue which arose in an article prepared after the court finding last Tuesday February 21st at Beckley Heath Magistrates Court was ditched after a legal issue arose in the final article submitted for publication. However, further tensions between the violent brute and his landlady is setting the scene for more drama between the pair. The landlady told The Eye Of Media.Com the heavily indebted tenant always challenges her builders when they come to work.

Unemployed Nyala, a big 6 ft tall man of Nigerian decent, attacked his landlord in July, 2017. The case was only heard last week after being transferred from one set of solicitors to another, during the process of litigation.

Nyala was admitted into the property as a tenant without having to pay any deposit, and he did not pay a penny for a whole year at the property. The benevolent landlady took him in out of compassion on the grounds that he would pay her once he received some money. The money never arrived for a year, causing the angry landlady who still had to maintain her mortgage to challenge the man about his rent arrears.

When confronted by the landlady, he attacked her viciously, hospitalizing her in pictures seen by The Eye Of Media.Com, but which we are not permitted to publish.

The fuming landlord told The Eye Of Media.Com : ” I am not happy with the outcome of this court case. How can a man who assaulted me a woman, still be living in my house without paying any rent. This is ridiculous”. When the Eye Of Media.Com attempted to speak with mr. Nyala for his version of events, but he declined to comment.
