The Queen will receive a £6m pay rise from the taxpayer after the Crown Estate recorded a £24m increase in income.
The news has led to some calls for the Monarchy to be abolished, but such outcome is very unlikely.
Prince Charles, received a pay rise to £20.7m, while cutting his tax bill by 5.1 per cent to £4.7m. As the Queens first son, he is heir to the throne . His son, Prince Williams, recently revealled that he was in no rush or excitement to become heir to the throne.
The Queen is the head of the Monarch, with a much valued statey figure. She is the head of state, and her recent visit to the scene of the Greenfell fire was good and positive. However, many would wonder what the purpose of the increase in her earnings are. Surely, the Queen has very limited need for spending, and has everything she needs.
It can be assumed that she must need the extra money for something, but for what? All British born citizens loved the Queen from our infant years. She represented a specia figure of respect and dignity to e admired and cherished by all Brits.
These days, the Queen is also more vocal, showing her sweet and humane side to issues that arise in her country. The boost to her income cannot be stopped, but considering it comes from taxpayers money, the British public have a right to know why the increase is has been made.
