Prince Harry has said he shoulders the blame for Meghan’s split with father her in segments of the long awaited docuseries with Netflix reveal.

Meghan Markle has not spoken with her father since her marriage to Prince Harry, following a feud with him over his unapproved dealing with the press about their strained relationship.

Harry spoke about the rigidity of being a senior Royal, as well as addressing what he calls the “unconscious bias” within the family around issues of race.

“Of course it is incredibly sad what happened, he says

“She had a father before this and now she doesn’t have a father.

“And I shouldered that because if Meghan wasn’t with me, then her dad would still be her dad,” Harry says.

During episode three, Meghan discusses the breakdown in the relationship with her father, Thomas Markle.

Meghan said in the days before her wedding, she had to ring him to ask if he was taking money from tabloids to stage photos of him preparing for the ceremony.

She subsequently reveals her shock at discovering he wouldn’t be walking her down the aisle via a tabloid.

“I never spoke to him,” she says.

Prince Harry’s doesn’t justify why he takes the blame for his wife’s broken relationship with her father.

The royal couple stepped back as senior royals in March 2020 and now live in California with their two young children, Archie and Lilibet.

The couple’s controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey last year caused a stir after the couple accused an unnamed member of the family of racism, and Meghan said she had had suicidal thoughts.

The couple blamed racism in the media for their decision to step back as senior royals.

”The thing with unconscious bias, it is actually no one’s fault. But once it has been pointed out, or identified within yourself you then need to make it right, Prince Harry said.

“It is education. It is awareness. It is a constant work in progress for everybody, including me.”

Harry then spoke about when he wore a Nazi uniform to a private party in 2005.

He said: “It was probably one of the biggest mistakes of my life. I felt so ashamed afterwards. All I wanted to do was make it right.”

“So like duty and service and I feel as though being part of this family it is my duty to uncover this exploitation and bribery that happens within our media.”

The first three segments of the docuseries sees the royal couple address racism experienced by Meghan, the frenzy surrounding her relationship with Prince Harry, and how they feel their lives have been “exploited” by the press.

The scene opens with Meghan filming herself in Vancouver wearing a towel on her head. Accusing the royal family of failing to confront the UK media over its treatment of her and her husband, she says: “Unfortunately, in us standing for something, they are destroying us.”

Harry said it was his duty to uncover “exploitation and bribery” within the press, claiming that other members of the Royal Family questioned why Meghan should be “protected” from newspaper headlines.

Harry has  also spoken about the rigidity of being a senior Royal, as well as addressing what he calls the “unconscious bias” within the family around issues of race. also
