Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are now living in the eight-bedroom, 12-bathroom home previously owned by Hollywood actor and producer Tyler Perry.
The £18million Beverly Hills property in which they currently live was set up for the couple by friend and mentor Oprah Winfrey. It has its own gated community and the Tuscan villa-inspired mansion and has 22 acres of ground which all children will love.
The couple were introduced to the star by their close friend Oprah Winfrey, who appears to be mentoring them after working with Harry on a documentary series about mental health.
Perry, worth an estimated $600 million, once considered Kanye West as a potential buyer of his luxurious eye catching property.
Their residence at the property is an indication of the ongoing working relationship between the Sussexes and Oprah Winfrey, who is working on a documentary about the couple.
Perry’s villa sits on 22 acres on the top of a hill, providing a brilliant view of the city. It remains unclear whether the Sussexes are renting the house from Perry, but sources said they are likely staying as guests while he is out of town.
The Beverly Ridge Estates is close to the Van Nuys private airport and has been home to a number of high fly celebrities, like Paris Hilton lived there for just under a year in 2004 after her former fiancé Paris Latsis bought her an 11,206 square foot mansion in December 2004.
Other local celebrities who have owned homes in the community include ex-spouses David and Carlton Gebbia, who starred on reality show Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and had a burlesque room in their $22 million Gothic-style mansion.
Meghan’s son Archie celebrated his first birthday yesterday, May 6.
The pair initially has their eyes set on Canada, but had a change of heart following uproar from the Canadian public surrounding their security bill and other issues.
However, the former royal couple who seem set on carving out a career for themselves eventually headed to Los Angeles, where they expect to realise their ambitions quicker.
Much of the American public have warmed up to the couple as opposed to the divided opinion in the Uk where their move to leave the royal family was controversial.
Prince Harry and Meghan have separately complained about bad treatment from the British press, with Harry completely ending communication with the British tabloids, citing bullying which he said has a ”human cost”.
Meghan Markle is locked in a legal suit against the Associated press, whom they accuse of breaching her privacy by publishing intimate details of a letter she wrote to her father.
A High Court judge recently threw out aspects of Meghan’s case, which he deemed not relevant to the main case, adding that those aspects could be reconsidered if presented differently. A date for the final hearing is yet to be set.
