Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Criticised For Allgedly Leaking Private Information To The Press

By Sheila Mckenzie-

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been criticised for leaking private information to the press.

The criticism comes in the wake of leaks to the media following the first phone call between the Sussexes and the royal family after the no bars interview to Oprah Winfrey in March that talks did not go well. Recent press releases in relation to Meghan Markle letter to Prince Phillip was also revealed in the press.

The royals have reportedly been warned that they would be “crazy” to talk to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as anything said in private would be leaked “in no time”, an expert has said.

Commentator Angela Levin said “privacy is the last thing” that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex want and claims they are both “obsessed” with global coverage.

Having previously said they stepped down as working royals and left the UK to get out of the spotlight, Ms Levin said the couple should now “just continue their lives” quietly. She claimed they’re “obsessed” with global coverage – and should “just continue their lives”.

Pregnant Meghan did not attend Prince Philip’s funeral on Saturday but released a statement through the couple’s ‘Global Press Secretary’ to inform the world she would be watching the service on TV.

It was later further revealed the Duchess Of Sussex had handwritten a note to the Duke of Edinburgh following his death on April 9.

The revelations to the press are being frowned upon as a way of  Meghan Markle courting publicity, which her critics see as being in contradiction with the rift caused by the revelations she made during her damaging interview with Oprah Winfrey. The interview was aired on CBS television in the U.S, and ITV in Britain.

Ms Levin told The Sun: “I think the Royal Family would be crazy to talk to Meghan and Harry.

“Whenever anything happens to them, big or small, they have to tell the world.”

She added: “They are desperate that everybody knows what they are doing every minute of the day.”

The significance of Prince Phillip’s death called for the courtesy of  Ms Markle, who couldn’t attend the funeral due to pregnancy, to express her condolences to the royal family. Informing the public she was watching  the funeral from  her home may have been an expression of her condolences, as may have been the handwritten note to Prince Phillip.

The Duchess Of Sussex’s  handwritten note included a personalised wreath of flowers to be laid at Prince Phillip’s  services.

US Weekly  also  reported that campanula, rosemary, lavenders and roses were also included in the wreath, representing gratitude, devotion and everlasting love. Roses were added to honour June, the month Prince Philip was born.

The wreath was said to be a special tribute from Meghan, as the flowers were picked from Crossley’s personal garden, made up of Eryngium to represent the Royal Marines and Acanthus mollis, the national flower of Greece, the country in which the Duke of Edinburgh was born.

Prince Phillip being the grandfather in law of Meghan Markle may have been personally impacted by his death , but the main question is whether that handwritten letter should have been made public.

The legitimacy of any criticism pf the  publicising of the handwritten note to Prince Phillip may depend on Meghan Markle’s true intentions, in other words, whether she had a good relationship with the late Prince, or whether it was done purely for show or attention.

Meghan Markle’s decision to give the damaging interview she gave to Oprah Winfrey has  sent emotions running high in different quarters across the UK.

Royalists and close associates of the royal family, or those close to Pies Morgan,  are angry with her for the  bombshell effect her one interview has had on the lives of so many people. Her fierce critics would rather not hear any public comments coming from her team or herself.

Ofcom revealed that complaints made against the Good Morning Britain episode in which Piers Morgan roundly dismissed Ms Markle’s claims  have risen by nearly 300.

Her critics see her actions from the beginning as motivated by self gain, to promote her career prospects, and change the direction of the royal family. Prince Harry and Meghan say they were forced to take the decision they did because of tension in th royal houshold.
