Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced their decision to step back as senior members of the Royal family
Buckingham Palace is understood to be ‘disappointed’ at Harry and Meghan’s decision to quit as senior royals amid claims that the couple did not tell the Queen before they announced their departure on social media.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their decision to step back as senior Royals and develop an independent financial base. Their decision comes as a shock to both the public and other members of the Royal family. Other members of the Royal Family were not consulted before Harry and Meghan issued their personal statement tonight.
A Buckingham Palace spokeswoman said discussions with the couple on their decision were ‘at an early stage’, adding: ”We understand their desire to take a different approach, but these are complicated issues that will take time to work through.’
