New U.S president, Donald Trump, was formally Placed as the most powerful man in the world yesterday.
The 70 year old billionaire expressed his appreciation to a strong applause by mouthing ” thank you” to the cheering crowd.
Chants of Trump, Trump, reflected the strong support from his followers.
His election rival, Hillary Clinton had to undergo the uncomfortable experience of shaking his hand.
Hands, she sees as potentially dangerous to America and the rest of the world. The man she once said was in Putin’s pocket.
RULERS
Trump Promised to make the people of America the rulers of the nation again.
He said ”the forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer”. He said the establishment protected itself but not the citizens of our country”.
Their victories have not been your victories . Their Triumph have not been your triumphs”.
” And while they celebrated in our nation’s capital, there was little to celebrate for struggling families across our land. That all changes starting here and now because this my is your moment, it belongs to you”.
Strong
President Trump promised to make America strong, wealthy, proud and safe again”.
Trump’s message sounded powerful, but how successful he will be in implementing them is to be seen.
His vow to wipe Islamic terrorism from the face of the earth was bold and inspiring, but may also be over ambitious. It won’t be easy to achieve.
NATO
The new president also re- iterated his plans to freeze NATO out of financial aid in order to prioritize American interest.
His strong comments have already alarmed NATO chiefs who before yesterday had expressed concerns about Trump’s stance.
UK prime minister, Theresa May is expected to try and Persuade the president to have a rethink about Nato.
Success on that will be a long shot, unless May works a Miracle on Trump’s mind.
Any such miracle will also need to convince Trump’s team who are already bought into his strong anti- Nato views.
The next four years will be shocking and interesting with many surprises.
