Piers Morgan Shares Malicious Threats Against Him To Expose Cruel Trolls Who Can’t Stand Him

By Gabriel Princewill-

Piers Morgan has exposed cruel trolls who have been subjecting the axed presenter to below the belt insults and  abuses.

Morgan highlighted a series of hostile threats underpinned with deadly wishes, revealing  wave of angry and twisted people who lack any iota of humanity in them. No amount of disapproval of any person warrants that such tasteless and toxic language.

Morgan lost his job at Good Morning Britain after he said he did not believe a word Meghan Markle said, also said he wouldn’t believe the weather if she read it. Itv executives were forced to pressure the outspoken presenters to apologize, but he refused, arguing it was his right to freedom of expression to express the views he did.

Morgan’s open discrediting of Meghan Markle, whom he says ghosted him,  has earned him supporters and enemies in almost equal measure. Those in support of him defend his every actions, while others who object to his ways, have either criticized him civily, or joined trolls in exceeding boundaries when delivering their attack.

The outspoken television presenter’s continued denial of his shortcomings in his response to the Oprah Winfrey interview of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has annoyed many members of the public. There is a separate group who just found Morgan too disruptive and took an extreme dislike to him, dismissing the other qualities that made him a national hit on television. A balanced picture is always ideal, but  for most, not in the mix of emotive and consequential issues.

Justification

However incensed one is, there can be no justification for  malicious abuse in the form of faceless trolls. There can be no justification for trolling,  and those monsters are society’s misfit.

Morgan said  it was “only fair” to reveal the abuse, Piers wrote to his fans: “This guy likes to abuse me on Instagram but prefers to do it quietly via DM.”

“So I thought it only fair to share his abuse with nearly 8million people on here. Enjoy your day,” the former ITV host added, alongside a thumbs up emoji.

Poisonous Language

Some of the messages that Piers had shared included poisonous language, including threats,.

One message  referred to him as a w*** head, c*** and telling him to “hang himself”.

“F*** you, you c***. Glad you got the sack you utter c*** absolutely 0 values you have, hang yourself,” one of the messages read, while a second added: “F*** off Piers.”

A third read: “How’s your payroll with all this Covid f***ing post puppet you mate,” while a fourth just cruelly dubbed the broadcaster: “W*** head.”

Meghan has been a regular critic of Prince William and Meghan and Markle,

Many fans quickly flooded the comment section of the tweet, which has received over 12,000 likes, to support Piers and share their disbelief at people’s cruelty.

“I seriously do not understand this behavior,” one woman began. “You don’t have to like everyone, just scroll along and ignore or enter into sensible discourse.”

“Why are people so horrid? Would he be like that to your face? How must he treat other people? That’s quite sad,” another fan agreed.

Horrifying

Piers has in the past,  recounted extremely horrifying accounts of  online abuse. He previously told how trolls threatened to murder him in front of his children.

He once told of an incidence in which  his three sons were targeted,  and that he saw evidence of the screenshots of abuse they got online.

Piers added: “None of them even care about Meghan Markle, let alone agree with my views on her. Yet the Twitter troll mob has found them guilty by association.

“One troll vowed to murder me in front of them, and added, ‘When your dad dies, the world will have a party.’

“Normally, I revel in the noise. But unregulated social media, as anyone in the public eye will confirm, has got increasingly vicious and nasty.”

The  revelation of  Piers  encounter with trolls was circulated on social media and in the press. One reaction  read: ”I seriously do not understand this behaviour.”  “You don’t have to like everyone, just scroll along and ignore or enter into sensible discourse.”

“Why are people so horrid? Would he be like that to your face? How must he treat other people? That’s quite sad,” another said.

Meghan Markle

Some attacked Piers over his public row with Meghan Markle, suggesting that he had done the same by publicly voicing his opinion about Meghan Markle on social media.

“And yet you do the same with Meghan Markle?” one suggested. “Twitter does give you confidence that you might not have in a pub to do the same thing.”

Another chimed in: “That is what you are doing to Harry and Meghan,” while a third simply asked: “How is what you are doing any better?”

He revealed that his three sons were targeted and sent him screenshots of abuse they got online.

Piers added: “None of them even care about Meghan Markle, let alone agree with my views on her. Yet the Twitter troll mob has found them guilty by association.

“One troll vowed to murder me in front of them, and added, ‘When your dad dies, the world will have a party.’

Controversial

A controversial presenter, Morgan had his witts about him, and was a hit on British television for his direct and searching questions, but was resented for his sometime disruptive tendencies.

His detestation of Meghan Markle led to his downfall after he failed to distinguish between potentially valid criticisms he could make, and those that exceeded reasonable boundaries. His dismissal of Meghan Markle’s claims to have suffered from mental health problems and feeling suicidal. was an alarming indiscretion he has tried in vain to defend.

One in four people in the Uk suffer from mental health issues to varying degrees, and many sufferers could be inadvertently complicit in the cause of their mental health issues. Mental health analyst Deon Vernhoven said ”it is important to address trolls when they are on the offensive like this because the cumulative effects of their abuse can easily cause mental health issues.

Some critics say the outspoken journalist had a point with respect to his criticisms against Meghan with regard to her strained relationship with her father. ”Piers is right in relation to her father, mental health expert Deon Vernhoven told The Eye Of Media.Com .  ”Her dad paid her school fees and put her in dramma school. Whatever Meghan Markle’s perceptions of her father’s conduct doesn’t justify her keeping him from seeing his grandchildren.  Thomas Markle has misbehaved himself in the way he has publicly  attacked his daughter, but he is most likely also suffering from mental health issues, very stressed about his situation with his daughter”

Piers Morgan also had to deal with his demand to know the context in which a question  said to have been asked by an unnamed member of the royal family, asking about the colour of prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s child.  Britain has been divided on the issue, with an almost evenly balanced proportion of people concluding the question to have had racist connotations.

Morgan felt the Duke and Duchess Of Sussex should have named the royal member who asked the question.

Mental health analyst, Deon Vernhaven said: ” that would have been a very unwise thing to do. Naming the person would be prejudicial against them  without the full context of the background of the story, so Piers Morgan’s criticism was unreasonable in this way.

In terms of how the question was asked, a lot depends on exactly why and how the question was asked. The question could have been associated with curiosity, or a prejudicial, context, but facts are important, no matter our natural inclination to be convinced about the spirit in which it was said”

Critics have said that if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle considered the question to have been racist, it makes it so, but business coach, Sheila Mckenzie points out that perceiving a question to be racist doesn’t make it so, it depends whether the person assessing it has good grounds to arrive at the conclusion, which is a value judgement. It will always have to be case specific, based on the facts, which we don’t have.”

Morgan has since been engaged in a war against Meghan Markle, and has taken the leading role in criticising her actions. He accuses her of being social climber who purpose is to explain her position for self-gain. Those views resonate with many of his avid supporters, while his critics see him as a hurt man seeking revenge against his adversary at all costs.

Trolls who are unduly offensive and abusive  to anybody should be caught and punished. Morgan himself once vowed to run a campaign to catch an expose such trolls- a worthy cause which was never attained. An initiative to catch such culprits is a worthy one.
