Online Laundry Service Supports Major Campaign To Help Homeless

By  Tony O’Riley-

An online laundry service is supporting a major campaign to help the homeless through the coronavirus pandemic. The Laundry app is supporting Crisis’s as part of the In This Together  campaign to help homeless people through the crisis.

Laundrapp is collecting donations from customers on behalf of Crisis as part of the charity’s ‘In This Together emergency homelessness fund’. The company which offers an online laundry and dry cleaning service across London and other UK towns and cities  has added a ‘donate’ option to its app checkout, and has also set up a fundraising page for customers who want to support them with donations. The homelessness charity’s frontline staff will be using the funds to deliver essential services to rough sleepers, such as food and well being packages.

With over 50 grants already delivered to other homelessness organisations to assist their response to the pandemic, the charity is actively  playing it’s role in helping address tackle homelessness. Yesterday, The Eye Of Media.Com reported on an ongoing campaign by teacher and homelessness campaigner, Hugo Sugg, who for years have fought to see homeless individuals  in the Uk catered for.  Now based in Turkey, Sugg still corresponds with homeless organisations, local governments, and media groups to  keep his mission alive.
