Disgraced former NFL star, OJ Simpson, has addressed paternity rumours that he may be the father of Khloe Kardashian.
Simpson, who was released on parole back in October after spending nine years in prison for a Las Vegas armed robbery, may finally have put the rumour to bed. Simpson has also flatly denied any biological connection with Khloe Kardashian, a denial that has historically been maintained by Khloe herself.
PLUMMET
The former American football star, whose reputation began to plummet after his murder trial in the 90’s for which he was acquitted, made the declaration over the weekend after a reporter asked him if congratulations were in order following Kardashian’s pregnancy announcement. Reports have circulated for years that OJ had a one night stand with Kris Jenner during his marriage to Nicole Brown who was brutally murdered in 1993. Jenner was at the time married to Robert Kardashaian
“Congratulations to her, but trust me I have nothing to do with it,” Simpson told a TMZ cameraman in Las Vegas. “I would be proud if I had anything to do with it, but I don’t. Simpson, was a close friend of the late Robert Kardashia(he died in 2003) a member of Oj’s legal defense team in his infamous 1995 murder trial.
The latest rumour began in December, after Kardashian confirmed reports that she was expecting her first child with NBA boyfriend Tristan Thompson, with a cute Instagram snap showing off her growing bump. However, suspicions were again raised with attention direction in the way of O.J Simpson, believed to have a well kept secret of a fling with the beautiful American star.
Simpson was cornered by TMZ as he grabbed some food with his daughter Sydney in Las Vegas. He dismissed the rumour stating there was no reason to congratulate him on Kardashian’s pregnancy news because he had no biological connection her to her unborn child.
“Well, for Bob [Robert Kardashian, Chloe’s alleged real father], God bless his soul, yeah. I don’t know for me. I don’t think for me I have nothing to do with it,” he told a photographer outside a restaurant.
“Khloe and the girls were all terrific girls when they were growing up. Nice and terrific and still today I think they are nice and terrific except they have kind of added sex appeal to their resume.
Simpson, 70, added: “I’m happy for them, congratulations to her, but trust me I have nothing to do with it. I would be proud if I had anything to do with it but I don’t. May God bless em.”
The claim that Simpson with Jenner in the 1980s has been supported by the idea that Khloe bares a striking resemblance to Simpson.The two couples were close in the years before Nicole’s murder. Kardashian’s subsequent legal defence of Simpson when he was on trial for her death in 1995 led to the wide spread of the rumour that O.J was indeed the father of their child.
PARTYING
In 2013 Simpson’s ex-manager Norman Pardo told InTouch Weekly he believed OJ was Khloe’s real dad.
“It’s all going to come out sooner or later,” Pardo said
“They all [OJ, Nicole, Kris, Robert] took their vacations together. There was a lot of partying going on back then …. Kris cheated on Robert she was known for having a good time,” he said.
Khloe has long denied being the illegitimate child of Simpson’s offspring. A National Enquirer report last year that Simpson had changed his will to include her has furthered the rumour that the secret is being kept tight.
Last year she furiously hit back after being bombarded by trolls on social media about her “dad” being released from prison after OJ was granted parole.
Other conspiracy theories are that her father could be singer Lionel Richie or Jenner’s former hairstylist Alex Roldan. In 2014 Khloe threatened Jenner with a paternity test during an episode of E! show Keeping Up With the Kardashians. The test was never conducted, rendering the threat as empty as ordinary words. If Oj is Khloe’s father, he must have a reason to want to hide is forever. A paternity test will silence everyone forever, but the insistence of the both Khloe Kardashian and OJ Simpson that there is no blood connection, may be one the world has to respect. There can be no obligation for the world to believe them, but there might never be any conclusive resolution to the persisting doubt.
