Northern Korea launches Provocative Missile

Northern Korea has launched a ballistic missile on Wednesday that landed near Japanese waters for the first time.

The main body of the missile from north Korea landed in Japan’s economic exclusion zone, a Japanese defense official has said.

The move will heighten regional tensions, already high following previous missile launches in the past.

Japanese prime minister,  Shimzo Abe, described the launch as a “grave threat” to Japan. Such technology does not only make Japan vulnerable to a potential attack, but  also the U.S mainland and any of its partners in South East Asia.

The launch is in contravention to the United Nations Security Council Resolution, and has the potential to aggravate relations between Japan, North Korea, and The U.S.

South Korea’s chief of staff turned the latest launch as part of a North Korean abilities to directly and broadly attack neighboring countries and target several places in the Republican of Korea such as ports and airfield’s.

A medium range Roding, the missile landed in the sea of Japan, some 150 miles off the country’s northern coast. Japans prime minister called it “a serious threat against our country’s security, adding “this is a serious threat that cannot be tolerated.

U.S department spokesman, Julia Mason, said ” we are prepared to work with our allies and partners to respond to further Dark provocations, as well as defend ourselves and allies against any further provocations”.
