North Korea Warns U.S Not To Ignite Nuclear War

By Ben Kerrigan-

The North Korea Prime Minister, Pyongyang, has warned the US against worsening tensions in the region that could ignite a nuclear war. He said the U.S has become ”all the more pronounced to topple the North communist regime by mobilizing all nuclear war hardware”

PROVOCATION

North Korean media also seemed to provoke the situation by stating that North Korea would ”respond to any aggression by reducing the U.S to a sea of flames”.
”Accusing the US of pushing the situation on the Korean peninsula into the “uncontrollable and catastrophic phase,” KCNA said that the “enemies are bluffing that they can mount a pre-emptive nuclear strike on the DPRK by letting fly B-1B over the Korean peninsula within two-three hours in contingency.”
The rhetoric from the State media is unnecessarily strong, when threatening to reduce the U.S to a sea of flames. Language like this is excessive and unacceptable in a world climate of so much tension.
The tension between the two countries is becoming worrying, and calls for a responsible approach to diffuse their differences. Neither North Korea nor America should be reckless enough to ignite a nuclear war, though history shows that leaders can actually be that reckless.
A number of B-52 bombers placed on Guam as part of U.S Pacific Command’s continuous bomber presence mission, but were replaced with high tech The B-1 bombers will be accompanied by 300 airmen with years of operational expertise.
Only last week, South Korea launched a number of ballistic missiles in the Sea of Japan which the Japan government described as ”provocative”, and which contravened the United Nations Council of Resolutions. It is really bad that countries are flexing their muscles arrogantly in defiance of what should be common sense. It makes one question the wisdom of their judgment.

It is high time, the U.S, North Korea, and Japan, use dialogue to effectively address their issues, and not recklessly create a dangerous situation for a world already in turmoil. Russia have already complained about provocation from the U.S in relation to missiles and nuclear weapons. No country should be made to legitimately feel threatened by the military activity of another country when it comes to nuclear testing or positioning.

The leaders of these countries will need to competently assess their actions and engage in productive dialogue to resolve lurking tensions surrounding their missile or nuclear programs. Continuous friction over missile and nuclear programs is bad for the interest of the international community.
