A well known self proclaimed Nigerian Prophet has openly claimed that the coronovirus will be completely wiped out by Match 27, this year- in 3 weeks time.
Founder and leader of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) prophet TB Joshua, known for conducting strange miraculous but controversial healing services of incurable diseases addressed a congregation in Lagos, Nigeria where he told his audience that God spoke to him about completely eliminating the coronavirus.
The public claim has since gone viral, but is not one that can be relied upon before it actually occurs. Joshua said he then asked God to cause the rain to fall in Wuhan, China, the epicentre of the coronavirus.
“Since yesterday, when the Lord brought the revelation about the rain and that this rain will wipe away the epidemic coronavirus, I asked the Lord to make this happen in the place where the coronavirus started which is Wuhan, China. Right now, it is raining in Wuhan, China”, portions of the post read.
He added: “The purpose of this rain is to wipe out this epidemic called coronavirus and it will continue till the end of this week. Whether you come in contact with the rain or not, it does not matter. The Lord said to me that it will rain and it is raining. Glory be to God!”
DROP OUT
A secondary school drop out, Joshua lacks basic education, and does not speak English coherently but has a large fan base in Africa and some parts of Europe from where people travel to Lagos for his meetings to see him defy medical science according to his strong followers. He is widely covered by the mainstream media in many African countries including Nigeria and Ghana because of claims of miraculous healing often aired on his Emmanuel tv youtube channel. Sceptics flock to his meetings to see how true the claims are.
The credibility of his miraculous and prophetic claims have been met with both amazement and cynicism. The Eye Of Media.Com has heard from some members of the Nigerian press we contacted that some of Joshua’s critics claim he uses black magic to perform some of the miracles claimed to be performed, an allegations he denies.
In his prediction that the end of the coronavirus will happen at the end of March, Joshua said the virus will go the same way it came.
PAST PREDICTIONS
Joshua is credited with accurately predicting terrorist attacks perpetrated by ISIS, Al-Qaeda affiliates and Al-Shabaab militants, including the November 2015 Paris attacks, the Garissa University College attack in Kenya,the Ouagadougou hotel siege in Burkina Faso on 15 January 2016, in which gunmen armed with heavy weapons attacked the Cappuccino restaurant and the Splendid Hotel in the heart of Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso. There were 30 fatalities as a result of that attack while and 56 were wounded individuals. A total of 176 hostages were released after a government counter-attack into the next morning as the siege ended. Three perpetrators were also killed.
The nearby YIBI hotel was under siege, where another attacker was killed. Notably, former Swiss MPs Jean-Noël Rey and Georgie Lamon were killed. Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) and Al-Mourabitoun claimed responsibility for the attack. The controversial prophet is also credited with predicting and the 2016 Brussels Bombings and the predicted the Boston bombing attacks in America.
PREDICTION OF TERRORIST ATTACK
When Joshua prophesied in April 2016 that an impending terror attack would occur in Ghana, it made national headlines in West African country because of his reputation for predictions and bizarre occurrences. Ghana’s national police acted on his prophecy and issues a statement calling for the general public to be calm and vigilant.
Hundreds of foreigners were said to have cancelled their visits to Ghana in the wake of the statement. A few days later, a captured Malian terrorist confessed that his group had planned to target Ghana. In December 2019, he predicted that an attack will take place in Iran which would cause global panic. No attack fitting that description has happened yet.
Coronavirus or Convid-19 as named by the World Health Organisation (WHO) has hit 70 countries.
The deadly disease broke out in Wuhan, China mid-December and has caused anxiety across the globe.
INACCURATE PREDICTION
The potential inaccuracy in Joshua’s prediction power was exposed after he incorrectly predicted that Hillary Clinton would win the 2016 US election. After Donald Trump shocked the world and won the election, Joshua said he believed the spiritual revelation was to do with Clinton’s win in the popular vote and that he had misunderstood the spiritual message coming to him.
Sceptics believed Joshua was using his natural and logical mind to predict Clinton’s win, but got exposed. With his bold prediction made in front of a packed and televised audience, millions who are aware of his prediction will be waiting to see if he gets this major one right. More so, his prediction of continuous rain in Wuhan will also be closely watched.
