The victim in the brutal killing in Croydon has been named as 22-year-old Larvaun Witter.
Larvaun, (pictured)also known as Lavz, died at the scene on Wisbeach Road after being stabbed shortly after 8pm on February 5.
Police were called to a property on the road in Selhurst Estate, where a group of males had turned up at the address for a fight started which led to Larvaun’s death. The exact cause of the fight has not been revealed.
Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and found two men suffering stab injuries. Metropolitan police officers responded to five reports of stabbings at five locations across Croydon in just over two hours between 6.56pm and 9.12pm on Friday.
A second teenager remains in critical condition and is fighting for life in hospital. His condition has been assessed as critical.
Detective Chief Inspector Martin Thorpe from Specialist Crime said: “We know that a group of males attended the address and an altercation occurred which resulted in the victim receiving a fatal stab injury.
“I would ask any local residents who saw or heard anything shortly after 8pm on Friday evening to contact police; no matter how insignificant you think your information might be, it could help us piece together what happened.
“I am aware that this was one of a number of violent incidents in and around the south London area on Friday evening but there is nothing to connect these incidents together at this time.
