Michael Gove’s wife has accused Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of cashing in on the royal family, as she pointed out that Meghan Markle was about to get a taste of her own medicine.
Sarah Vine, who announced her divorce to husband Michael Gove last month, expressed her views yesterday that the Duchess Of Sussex is getting a taste iof her own medicine, after her half siblings comments condemning her.
Thomas’ comments could be giving Meghan “a taste of her own medicine,” especially after Meghan publicly criticized the royal family with her explosive Oprah Winfrey interview.
Speaking on the Daily Mail’s show Palace Confidential, Vine said, “No, I think she’s about to find out what it feels like to have someone cash in on your family, which is what the Queen has been dealing with for the last 18 months.”
“She and Harry have been cashing in on the Royal Family, by cashing in on all sorts of Netflix deals and giving interviews to people and saying dreadful things,” Vine continued. “So, you know, it’s a taste of her own medicine, I reckon.”
Additionally, Vine said that it will be a while before Meghan’s family members “disappear” because “there’s a lot of money to be made.”
“They may not make the millions that Harry and Meghan are making, but they’ll make a few bucks, and that’ll make their lives materially better, so why wouldn’t they?” Vine commented.
Vine has been an avid critic of the Sussexes, ever since the fall out with the royal family, but her strong allegiances with Kate Middleton questions the integrity of her criticisms.
Questions have been asked whether it is appropriate for Vine, given her connection with cabinet minister, Michael Gove, to be getting so deeply engrossed in the feud between the royals.
Vine has never provided an objective analysis of the royal feud by fully addressing the practical dispute that has rocked the royal family, but has frequently vented her anger against the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, by condemning them at every opportunity.
Mental health analyst, Deon Vernhoven says Vine has failed to take into account the mental health effects of the experience of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in affecting their moods and decisions.
”When someone in the public glare like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle feel ill treated and betrayed, it becomes difficult to measure the mental health effects of their feelings, and the devices they fell compelled to adopt to cope with their feeling. Their plans and conduct will partly be as a result of a coping mechanism, and partly their way of making the best of their position.
The real question is whether they were put in a difficult position to adopt the avenues they have. The allegation the couple are cashing in on the royal family cannot honestly be justified, because Prince Harry is royal by blood, and there is no escaping that. If due to intense and unresolved conflicts, he uses his name to make progress in life, he is only benefiting from his natural heritage, but in an unconventional way for one from royalty.
The idea of cashing in on the royal family, can understandably be applied to Meghan Markle, but even that becomes debatable if she has her husband’s approval, since they are now one. The main question will be if the steps and ambitions she is pursuing is acceptable by fair and reasonable minds. ”That’s a matter of opinion and assessment”.

One Sided
The criticism from Sarah Vine has been a one sided affair, but thee are analysts who believe she has a point, in so far as her criticism of self promotion by Meghan Markle.
The vocal journalist, dubbed a royal expert, has expressed her strongly held view that Meghan Markle is only concerned about building her brand- a view that resonates with most of Meghan Markle’s critics, and a fraction of her supporters too. Most of the Duchesses Supporters see attacks against her as a witch hunt by those angry with her decision to step back from royal duties.
There has been recent revelation that Meghan Markle’s relationship with Kate Middleton is improving behind the scenes, and that the two have plans for a joint Netflix venture. No official confirmation has yet been made in this regard.
Meghan Markle has been attacked by her half brother, Thomas Markle Jnr and half sister, Samantha Markle, both of whom have publicly criticized her for distancing the family, and preventing her father from meeting her grandchildren.
Meghan will struggle to win public opinion as far as her family issues being aired as dirty laundry publicly, precisely what she was accused by her critics of doing against the royal family.
