Meghan Markle’s dad, Thomas Markle, has branded his daughter Meghan a “liar” , saying she has changed since meeting Prince Harry in a new interview last night.
The 77-year-old told right wing new media outlet, GB News, that the Duchess of Sussex had been “lying for years” due to the influence of her husband, Prince Harry.
Thomas highlighted Ms Markle’s claims to have married three days before their official legal wedding during the Oprah Winfrey show, saying :”Lying about the archbishop? How can you say ‘we’ve been married three days before we got married’?
“Her lies are so obvious, I don’t know why she says them.”
According to Thomas, Meghan’s alleged behaviour was new, claiming she didn’t have the capacity to lie before meeting her husband.
He said: “This is since Harry. Harry has influenced it.”
Implying Meghan Markle insulted the queen, he said: “Meghan and Harry are attacking the world. Attacking his 95-year-old grandmother is unforgivable.
“It’s embarrassing they are doing this, it’s embarrassing for them to be telling me a few years ago to ‘never talk to the press’, but then they spend hours on a show with Oprah.”
Her lies are so obvious, I don’t know why she says them. Thomas, who was meant to give his daughter away at her £32million wedding, claims he hasn’t heard from the couple since he dropped out of the event due to illness.
He continued: “I was laying in a hospital bed talking to them, telling them I couldn’t come to the wedding and they haven’t talked to me since.
“If your parent was in hospital, wouldn’t you be concerned – even if you were mad at them?
“Wouldn’t you be concerned if they’d live or die?”
He added: “She’s changed, she’s not the daughter I knew. My daughter was a much more giving, loving person than she is now.
“I don’t know if he’s the one behind it, but I really think that Harry and some of her friends have changed her.
“I love my daughter, but I don’t always like what they’re doing.”
His damning claims cones as her half brother , Thomas Markle Jnr joined the Australian big brother house in Australia to further disparage the Duchess Of Sussex. Thomas Markle Jnr told viewers in advance of the show that he told Prince Harry his half sister was shallow and would ruin her life.
Thomas Markle also said he sent his daughter flowers for her 40th birthday, but she did not reply.
His interview will further damage the reputation of Meghan Markle, but also reflects badly on him too.
Meghan Markle caused uproar when she claimed to have married 3 days before the official wedding.
She claimed to have called the Archbishop Of Canterbury and said ”you know this spectacle is for the world, but we want our own union between us”. She was attacked by the press who sought to expose her by proving the legal wedding occurred on the Saturday the world witnessed it.
The Archbishop confirmed he met the couple 3 days before their wedding, but refrained from decisively stating what took place, stating his time with the couple to be private.
A representative of Meghan Markle later said the couple exchanged a few vows with the Archbishop, but never retracted her claim to have been married 3 days earlier.
The attacks coming from Meghan Markle’s family puts her in a difficult position of deciding whether to stay silent or respond to them.
She is likely to stay silent, leaving the British public to decide how to take the interview.
