A maniac samurai sword attacker has appeared at the Old Bailey, facing charges including murder and attempted murder after a devastating 20-minute rampage.
Marcus Arduini Monzo,(pictured) a 36-year-old dual Spanish-Brazilian national residing in Newham, east London, stands accused of perpetrating a spree of violence on April 30th, resulting in the tragic death of 14-year-old Daniel Anjorin.
The teenager was reportedly ambushed from behind, suffering severe neck and chest wounds as he made his way to school.
Anjorin, the son of a teacher, was said to be bright and ambitious with high prospects, but whose life was cut short by the monstrous act of his attacker.

During the relentless assault, Monzo is alleged to have injured four other individuals, including two police officers, in a series of separate incidents.
The court heard chilling accounts of Monzo’s actions, including the virtually decapitating attack on young Daniel, leaving the community reeling from shock and grief.
Prosecutor Tom Little KC described the horrific scene, stating that Daniel was “largely decapitated” in the assault, as confirmed by a post-mortem examination which identified “sharp force trauma to the head” as the cause of death.
Monzo’s reign of terror did not end there. As police rushed to the scene to aid the victims, the defendant allegedly continued his onslaught, targeting officers and civilians alike.
The court heard how Monzo pursued officers and residents with his weapon, inflicting further injuries before being subdued and arrested.

Over 300 mourners showed solidarity in gathering to pay their respects to the murdered teenager.
In a statement released by Daniel’s grieving parents, they expressed their profound sorrow at the loss of their “beloved and amazing son,” highlighting the irreplaceable void left by his untimely passing.
They extended their gratitude to the community for their support and offered condolences to the other victims of the tragic incident.
