A tear away teenager who slashed a husband and wife in a street knife attack in Leeds city centre has been given a life sentence.
CCTV footage of 18 year old Javon Meade stabbing the woman and her husband was shown to horrified jurors at Leeds Crown Court. The lunatic was filmed dancing bare-chested at a party, clutching the knife he used to stab the couple . The news is an example of the extent to which knife crime has gripped some of Uk cities.
An experienced social worker knowledgeable about the case anonymously told The Eye Of Media.Com that :
”Meade has mental health problems and should have been in a mental ward, not on the streets. There are a lot of serious mental health sufferers who are not being assessed properly and being left on the streets, putting members of the public at serious risk. His past history of crime should have been enough to section him off before now.
Meade from Chapeltown has three previous convictions for possessing a knife in public. He had also tried to attack a staff member with a sharpened toothbrush while in custody. A judge described it as a miracle neither victim was killed in the attack on Mabgate in the early hours of March 31 this year..
Meade then used the weapon to stab the husband to the side of his body.
A CCTV camera captured the horrific moment the victim tried to hold Meade by the arms to defend himself.
EMERGENCY SURGERY
The couple were taken to hospital where the woman had to undergo emergency surgery after receiving critical injuries to her stomach.
