Leeds Drug Dealer Caught With Over A Kilo Mixing Agent Escapes Jail

By Eric King-

A Leeds drug dealer was caught after police seized more than a kilo of mixing agents, and found messages on his mobile phone that linked him to selling anabolic steroids.

40-year-old Eric Brummitt was arrested by cops at his home in Leeds in January when they forcefully entered his home and caught him flushing incriminating evidence down the toilet.

Brummit wasn’t fast enough and officers managed to still find three bags containing small amounts of heroin, benzocaine, caffine and paracetamol in various places around the property

The substances are commonly used as a mixing agent for class A drugs.Police also found messages on his phone indicating his drug dealing and sale of steroids. Brummitt, of Middlecroft Road, Belle Isle, Leeds, pleaded guilty to the supply of a class A drug and supplying anabolic steroids.

The  Leeds drug dealer’s barrister, Simon Batiste, said Brummitt had the heroin for his own use and took it to control the migraine pain he suffered due to head injuries he received in a car crash. Mr Batiste said Brummitt had also been using steroids at the time of the offending in order to build muscle. What a load of tosh!

The drug dealer’s barrister also said Brummitt sold the steroids in order to fund his own habit and agreed to store the mixing agents at his home on behalf of his supplier the day before the police raid.

The excuses defendants  give when caught red handed are sometimes so hilarious. Baptiste pleads guilty to supply because of the overwhelming evidence, but then presents some wild excuse to mitigate the legal consequences of the action. His lawyer did well to achieve a reduced sentence for the drug dealer who would have received a serious jail sentence had his barrister not argued so well for him. The fact this drug dealer had tried to flush all the evidence down the toilet showed his guilt but he still managed to blag his way out of the full force of the law.

Brummitt was given a 12-month prison sentence suspended for two years and ordered to do 200 hours unpaid.Let’s hope he learns his lesson because usually dealers like him only return and re-offend.
