King Charles III Credited For Having Marriage picture Of Harry and Meghan On Palace Wall

King Charles has been credited for a warm tribute  paid to the marriage of his son, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle   by keeping a portrait of the royal couple close to him at all times.

Following a meeting between the monarch and Prince Minister, Liz Truss, to kickstart their weekly meetings on government matters in the traditional fashion which has occurred for decades between former PM’s and the late Queen, a picture of the marriage between the Duke and Duchess Of Sussex on the Buckingham Palace wall was spotted.

It suggest King Charles still has a big place for his son in his heart, despite all the family tension of the past few years. It also suggests his respect and acceptance of their marriage.

King Charles III and his son Prince Harry reportedly had a big argument the day the Queen died, causing the Duke of Sussex to miss his flight, and later decline  an invitation to join his father and brother for dinner.

The King had refused Prince Harry’s request to bring his wife Meghan along to see the dying Queen in hospital, causing Harry to be upset. King Charles told his son it would be inappropriate for her to come along, and he took offence.

A video posted by ITV’s royal producer, Lizzie Robinson shared on Twitter showed the UK’s Prime Minister being ushered inside King Charles’ office, as she curtsied before the royal before they shook hands.

As Truss entered the room in Buckingham Palace, the camera reveals a collection of family photos displayed in the corner of the room.

One of the photos is of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, taken from their wedding in May 2018, reports US Weekly.

The photo taken at Windsor Castle after the ceremony at St. George’s Chapel, captures the pair standing in the middle, surrounded by their family and bridal party.

Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, is also featured in the picture.

In January 2020, Harry and Meghan decided to  step back as members of the royal family following longstanding internal feuds in the family. The couple decided to be financially independent.

Alexi Lubomirski, the professional photographer who took the photo, captured the whole family in the snap; including the late Prince Phillip standing over Queen Elizabeth II, as she is seated beneath him wearing a lime green blazer and floral dress.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are to the left of Meghan, together with their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Meanwhile, King Charles III is seated Camilla, then Duchess of Cornwall, who stands to the right of Prince Harry.

It comes after Charles expressed his love for the couple in his speech as the new king, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8.

In his statement, he said: “I want to express my love to Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas.”

Those words were positive and powerful, but arguably for the public gallery. The fall out between King Charles and his son over Meghan Markle is unfortunate.

Prince Harry is particularly upset that his father did not intervene when the British press was attacking his wife on a daily basis in the media. He is also believed to be upset that the King’s wife, Camilla Bowler has become  Queen  Consort, giving the  history with his late mother, princess Diana, whom she upset by going off with the then Prince Charles.

It was recently revealed that Camilla Parker Bowles has expressed an interest to see Prince Harry and Meghan Markle return to the royal family.
