A viral video showing the cousin of Former Nigeria President dumped in a flooded grave begging for his life, has gone viral, after his kidnappers posted it online to demand ransome.
Goodluck Jonathan’s cousin, Hon. Mike Ogiasa, a Commissioner for Special Duties in Bayelsa State, was kidnapped on June 2, 2022 from his home in Otuabadi, Ogbia Local Government Area of the State.
The video was posted on twitter last Saturday, and reveals the half naked body of the man who was seized by eight armed men, after a meeting and driven to an unknown spot where he was bound

He said: “Is the money more important than my life?
“You’re seeing me in the grave and the money is there doing nothing.
“Please do everything to come and release me.”
The spokesman of the Bayelsa State Police Command, SP Asinim Butswat, said efforts were being made free Ogiasa from his abductors.
Butswat said everything would be done to rescue him unhurt.
The kidnap highlights the disturbing level of insecurity in Nigeria, given the high level of incursions that plague Africa’s most populous country. Kidnapping has become a business for wayward criminals in the country, who exploit the fact that rich people will give them money
