Katie Price has inappropriately revealed having considered hiring a prostitute for her disabled teenage son Harvey once he turns 18.
The 39-year-old former glamour model’s oldest son – her child with retired soccer player Dwight Yorke, who is now 15 suffers with multiple disabilities including autism, partial-sight and Prader-Willi syndrome. Given his disabilities, he is likely to have problems developing a romantic relationship with women,but his mother has offered a solution for that.
Katie Price unashamedly suggested she was considering hiring prostitutes for her son despite the common knowledge that prostitutes have no respect for their bodies, and are often exploited and abused. Speaking on Wednesday’s Loose Women, the mum-of-five explained that the issue had come up with husband, Kieron Hyler. She told loose women that her husband had asked her: ”Shall we get him a prostitute when he turns 18? I said that’s my little Harvey, I don’t want to do that.” She continued:
‘Harvey is 15 now. Naturally at 15 you go through puberty and it’s natural to experiment with yourself… Is it fair for him to experience it? Due to the good financial position of Katie Price, her son is likely to never be hard up financially. However, any desire she has to hire prostitutes for her son should have been kept private, behind close doors, not broadcast on national television.

Katie Price needs to be reminded that prostitution is illegal, but she seems to believe it is ok for her to turn up on national television and express a readiness or for want of a better word, a consideration to break the law of the land in three years time. Her husband’s suggestion should have stayed within the four walls where the conversation began. Besides, we cannot be sure that son Harvey, would want that kind of information announced to the whole world before he even has a chance to see whether he can pull women in three years time without needing a prostitute.
Most girls will run a mile from someone with Harvey’s mix of complex conditions, but there may just be some girls who would warm up to the fact that the son of a known name like Katie Price is likely to be different from other guys in many respects. Many teenage girls may love the fact Harvey is unlikely to be able to cheat without assistance, and they may also love his good nature and personality, since he would hardly have been subjected to the ordinary contamination of this polluted world in many respects. Further, as the son of Katie Price, he will likely have that extra appeal to some girls, despite his condition.
Announcing plans or considerations to expose Harvey to prostitution when he becomes 18 was totally wrong and uncalled for. Katie Price has not always been the best when it comes to making sound judgments, but she must take extra care in matters concerning her son.
