Judge Judy, the assertive and sometimes offensive former celebrity judge, has a new luxurious mansion which is an internet hit. The $9 million on a property on the market a year ago has been snapped by the global house hold name, and is making waves The retired Manhattan Court-real name Judge Sheindin- once a prosecution family attorney before hosting the real life court show. Judge Judy, purchased the affluent property originally priced higher at $12.5 million is her new residence, and is up for show.
The 75 year old could have afforded to spend more on a more expensive property, but figured this one to be perfect for love, according to sources. The sale is the most expensive sold in Rhode Island this year, and fans of her show in the U.S are still slowly hearing about the sale and talking about it. The mega rich woman will not be ending up in court over the property, sources say she and husband Jerry Sheidin are very much in love.
The grand estate includes a two-story entrance hall and living room with a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace with wood paneling. It boasts an eat-in kitchen and breakfast nook, the home features a formal dining room, library, and charming covered porch with a swing.
Many of the rooms feature coastline views, while others look out to the gardens. Other features include a three-stop elevator, heated floors, and “exquisite landscaping.”

Already the owner of a plush $10.7 million condo in Beverly Hills, CA, as well as posh properties in New York, Connecticut, Florida, and Wyoming, Judge Judy is living large. She surely presided over Rhode Island, and she has plenty of dosh to back it. The newspaper reports that the $9 million Newport property known as the “Bird House” was formerly owned by Dorrance Hill Hamilton, the late granddaughter of the inventor of Campbell’s condensed soups.
