Gambling Commission Suspends EveryMatrix’s Operating License

Gambling Commission Suspends EveryMatrix’s Operating License

By James Simons

The Gambling Commission has suspended EveryMatrix’s operating license with immediate effect, whilst the  company’s activities are reviewed.

The Gambling Commission sparked the review after a comprehensive  examination into  the operating framework of the company. The Commission said  the decision was based on compliance activity at the supplier, including an examination of its customer interaction framework.

Following the suspension, the regulator supported its decision by making reference to section 118(2) Gambling Act 2005, which entitles the Commission to suspend a licence in order to carry out a review into the business in question if it suspects certain conditions apply.

Such conditions include a licensed activity carried out in a manner inconsistent with licensing objectives; a licensee having failed to cooperate with a review; a licensee having been deemed unsuitable to carry on the licensed activities; and a condition of the licence having been breached. The Commission said that EveryMatrix will be permitted to settle ante-post bets that were placed prior to the suspension and also to facilitate customers’ accessing their accounts to withdraw funds

EveryMatrix will no longer be able to provide real event betting or remote casinos, but the suspension will not affect the company’s B2B activities, such as manufacturing, supplying, installing or adapting gambling software.
Bets  placed prior to the suspension that allow customers access to their accounts for the withdrawal of funds will not be affected by the Commission’s decision. EveryMatrix confirmed that until further notice, it will not accept any further gambling activity from players in Great Britain on its Bookee.co.uk, Pwrbet.com, Fantasino.com, Playfrank.com, Sportingindex.com, Westcasino.com, Dragonaraonline.com, Jetbull.com, Mrwin.com and Casinomulti.com websites. It said in a statement:

“During this period EveryMatrix will continue to deliver a fair and safe experience to its players,” the supplier said in a statement. “All players will be able to access their accounts and withdraw any funds held in it at any time.
“Ante-post bets will be honoured, so if you have placed bets on future events these will be paid out as usual if they become winning bets.”
