Evil Islamic State Fanatic Found Guilty Of Murdering Well Liked MP Sir David Amess

By Tony O’Reilly-

An Islamic State fanatic has been found guilty of murdering Sir David Amess MP.

Following a trial at the Old Bailey, Ali Harbi Ali was convicted of murder and a charge of preparing acts of terrorism.

The Southend West MP was stabbed more than 20 times during a constituency surgery in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex on 15 October 2021.

A jury at the Old Bailey took just 18 minutes to convict Ali Harbi Ali of murder and preparing acts of terrorism.

The defendant refused to stand “on religious grounds” as jurors delivered their verdicts after just 18 minutes deliberating.

Sir David’s family sat in the well of the courtroom, just metres from Ali who showed no emotion in the dock.

The veteran Conservative politician was stabbed to death during a constituency surgery meeting in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, in October last year.

The 26-year-old  lunatic from Kentish Town, north London, had denied the charges, claiming to have targeted the MP over his vote for airstrikes on Syria.

The 26-year-old took his time to research a number of potential high-profile political targets including Michael Gove, Dominic Raab, and Sir Keir Starmer, before deciding on Sir David Amess.

The  Eye Of Media.Com explored information from secret sources  in The Leigh On Sea area in the weeks following the Mps murder which  suggested that the killer  had other ulterior motives on top of his terrorist drive for targeting Mr. Amess, but none of those was ever conclusively proven.

Ali  managed to arrange an appointment with the MP by duping the politician’s office into believing he was a healthcare worker moving to the area who wished to discuss local matters.

Mr Justice Sweeney said Ali, who refused to stand up in the dock on “religious grounds” as the guilty verdicts were returned, will be sentenced on Wednesday.

The judge told the jury that the defendant had no legal defence for the killing.CCTV images and other material from David Amess / Ali Harbi Ali trial ALI’s Home Address to Gospel Oak Train Station

In November, a moving memorial  private service attended by family Mr Amess’s  family was held at St Mary’s Church, Prittlewell, and  his casket was later taken through the streets.

In a statement read during the service, his family described him as a “wonderful and inspiring” man.

Former Conservative Mp Ann Widdecombe, who was close to the Mp spent the  previous night with Amess’s family reflecting on the life of Mr Amess, who was very well loved in the community.

She told this publication on the day of the memorial that the family was devastated, and that she had practically spent the whole night consoling the family and reflecting on his accomplished and fulfilled. life.

In a speech at the memorial, she said: “We are enormously proud of him, our hearts are shattered, however there was still so much David wanted to do so this is not the end of Sir David Amess MP, it is the next chapter,” his family said, in the statement which was read out by the former Conservative MP Ann Widdecombe.

“Strong and courageous is an appropriate way to describe David. He was a patriot and a man of peace, so we ask people to set aside their differences and show kindness and love to all because that is the only way forward.

“We must set aside hatred and work towards togetherness; whatever one’s race, religious or political beliefs, we must be tolerant and try to understand.”

Killer Arrives In Leigh On Sea ready to kill: Alli Harbi Alli                                      Image::CCTV

The killer stabbed Sir David, 69, after tricking his way into a meeting by pretending to be an NHS employee moving to the area.

In evidence, Ali told the court he wanted to travel to Syria to join Islamic State but it was too “difficult” so he decided to “help Muslims here” instead.

He said he had no regrets or shame about killing Sir David telling the court: “If I thought I did anything wrong, I wouldn’t have done it”.

The court heard the defendant had planned to die as a “martyr” assuming he would be shot by police.

After Sir David was stabbed, witnesses described how the killer waved the knife around and threatened Sir David’s staff and members of the public who were in the building.

After Ali appeared “relaxed and chatty” when he arrived for the meeting, Sir David’s aide Rebecca Hayton described seeing the killer stand up, say “sorry”, pull a knife from his clothing, and stab the MP “straight in the stomach”.

“Sir David screamed,” prosecutor Tom Little QC told the court.

“The defendant stabbed him again. Indeed, he stabbed him multiple times in a vicious and frenzied attack.”

After the attack, Ali said he wanted “every parliament minister (sic) who signed up for the bombing of Syria, who agreed to the Iraqi war, to die”.

“I’ve done it because of Syria,” Ali said. “I’ve done it because of the innocent people. I’ve done it because of the bombing. He deserved to die.”

“This was a horrific act of terrorism motivated by religious and ideological beliefs,” Nick Price, head of the CPS counter terrorism division, said. “Ali chose to commit this abhorrent crime for his own selfish and hateful reasons.”
