Crack heads in Essex are looking for the crack head who stole our writers phone.
Disgusted lads have launched a search for the homeless thief who mindlessly stole our phone from, York Road, Southend On Sea, on Saturday.
He was last seen running away, knowing fully well what he had done. Three members of our team have in the past visited one of the crack dens on the road to conduct our ongoing research on the life and history of crack heads and drug dealers, observing their lives(with their consent), provided we don’t name or photograph them. Our writers and researchers (including myself) dress casually during our visits, enabling us to blend in unannounced to those not aware of our purpose. Only those addicts or dealers recommended to participate in our research are made aware of who we are and what we do. Lawton had given one research interview before his criminal act in stealing our man’s phone, but never before now did we mention his name or reveal his identity. The decision to do so since his theft was based on his stupid actions.
Essex police have said they require to first obtain the IP number for the missing mobile phone which must be obtained from the writer’s network provider. They say they need this to be able to see if they can identify the phone once Lawton is arrested and searched. ” An Essex police officer told the eye of media.com ” if we arrest him without details of the phone, we will have no way of knowing if the phone is in his possession. If we found two mobile phones on him, we need to know that it is the stolen phone, otherwise our hands will be tied, the officer said.
Local lads say Lawton is a known thief who specialises in stealing mobile phones from unsuspecting victims. He is an opportunist who waits for the critical moment to steal phones and chargers when victims are not paying attention.
The 38 year old waste man is said to have once been a small time drug dealer who frequents the homes of addicts short of money, offering them crack and heroine on tick(credit) then returning to pressurise them for payment. ”He turns up all hours of the night”, one addict told the eye of media.com over the phone today. He sometimes urges girls who are hooked to get their boyfriend’s to promise to inherit the debt, which they often do if the girl has a sexual or mental hold on them. But its the girl who controls the drugs so that when Matt eventually comes to ask them for money, they don’t want to pay because they know it wasn’t for them”.
Crack addicts back track often from their promises when the dealer to whom they are indebted is not perceived to be a real threat. This sometimes leads to disturbances in the vicinity of the properties concerned, alarming neighbours who have to put up with shouting at odd times of the night. Described as a ”scumbag” by those who knows him, Lawton is a bit of a drifter, who generally walks alone, congregating with addicts at his earliest opportunity, and generally believed to be seeking his next victim. Lawton has sent over a dozen text messages since the moment he disappeared with the phone, and has been called over 8 times. He responded to one text, saying ”I think I can find out who took your phone”. Those have turned out to be empty words by an dodgy and unreliable character whose word is not worth a penny.
”He does this all the time, one 31 year old confessed addict told the eye of media.com. The word has gone round that he nicked a writer’s phone, and people whom he owes money have taken it upon themselves to find him because this guy has no respect for himself or anybody else. Any money or drugs he has on him will be taken, you can be sure of that”. Those looking for him have been discouraged by the eye of media.com from taking the law into their own hands, but they seem determined to have him dealt with for his unscrupulous and selfish tendencies. A house where Lawton is believed to visit fairly regularly was gate crashed by three of the lads searching for this heartless thief who has led to the loss of all the private details of the writer in question.
Cowardly Lawton has also stopped buying drugs from his usual dealers, and appears to have gone on the run over the stolen phone. The Android phone stolen was on contract and had many private pictures and phone numbers stored on it that cannot be replaced. One of the witnesses has reluctantly promised to give a statement to police to confirm seeing the theft, whilst the other – a female- is considering it. Essex police told the eye of media.com that without an independent witness confirming seeing the theft, there will not be enough to charge Lawton for the theft. Word has been sent to Lawton that his mug is already online, he will surely have a look at himself and see his mirror image online exposing the scum of a man he is.
Prior to the theft, Lawton had been friendly and co-operative in giving an account of his life and explaining the events that led him to crack. He told us his addiction had got so bad that he often searches carpets in peoples houses to see if any remnants on crack can be found on the floor. He also said he often searched the streets on roads where he knows people who smoke crack. He is one of a number of crack heads that has participated in our nation wide research on drug addicts. A school drop out since the age of 14, Lawton was never going to become anybody useful in life. He came from a broken home and was put in care at the age of 11, only lasting a further 3 years in secondary school before being excluded. He may have gotten away with our writer’s phone , but will soon have to face the full force of the law. Worse of all, he will remain online forever for his awfully foolish act in stealing from someone whom he knew can do exactly what is being done now- expose him!
Some crack heads are careless enough to lose their ‘white'(crack) or brown(heroine’) on the floor, only for crack addicts with hawk eyes to find. Acquaintances of Lawton say thieving and the odd dealing here and there is how Lawton makes his money.
