Donald Trump Promotes Nationalism And Denounces Globalism In UN Speech

By Aaron Miller-

U.S president Donald Trump laid emphasis on nationalism in his speech to the United Nations, almost certainly undermining the united element of the organisational group he was addressing . Trump is not a president to restrain his words to suit other individuals or organisations, his own philosophies are the most important considerations in his delivery.

“The free world must embrace its national foundations. It must not attempt to erase them or replace them,” Trump said as he began his address. “Looking around, and all over this large, magnificent planet, the truth is plain to see: if you want freedom, take pride in your country. If you want democracy, hold on to your sovereignty. And if you want peace, love your nation.”

“The future does not belong to globalists. The future belongs to patriots,” Trump said. “The future belongs to sovereign and independent nations, who protect their citizens, respect their neighbours and honour the differences that make each country special and unique.

America’s most controversial president, who has survived the multiple and ongoing attempts to remove him from office stressed his take on nations building their own fabric and prioritizing their interests.
“The free world must embrace its national foundations, he said. It must not attempt to erase them or replace them,” Trump said as he began his address. “Looking around, and all over this large, magnificent planet, the truth is plain to see: if you want freedom, take pride in your country. If you want democracy, hold on to your sovereignty. And if you want peace, love your nation.”

“wise leaders put the good of their own people and their own country first.”
“The future does not belong to globalists. The future belongs to patriots,” Trump said. “The future belongs to sovereign and independent nations, who protect their citizens, respect their neighbours and honour the differences that make each country special and unique.

“A free society cannot allow social media giants to silence the voices of the people,” he went on. “And a free people must never, ever be enlisted in the cause of silencing, cancelling or blacklisting their own neighbours.”

His comments came after a veiled attack on social media platforms for what he said equated the silencing of people’s voices.”A free society cannot allow social media giants to silence the voices of the people,” he went on. “And a free people must never, ever be enlisted in the cause of silencing, cancelling or blacklisting their own neighbours.”
