Dillian Whyte And Derek Chisora Will Have Rematch

By Tim Parsons-

Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora must have a rematch, after engaging in the best heavyweight fight the division has seen for years.

Chisora’s promoters Nisse Sauerland have expressed a strong interest to Sky Sports in a rematch, and a few quite whispers behind the scene gives the eye of media.com strong reason to think it actually will happen. Remember, you heard it here first. Whyte is officially in line to fight for Wilder’s WBC title, but  that’s after Wilder first faces his mandatory, Alexander Povetkin around April 2017.There will be enough time for Chisora and Whyte to have another crack at their old feud.

Whyte publically dismissed any chance of a rematch when initially interviewed, but the eye of media.com have heard that the chances of a rematch are so high we might as well say it will happen. Members of both teams are up for it, and there will be a lot of money and interest in the fight.

Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora went toe to toe in a gripping contest that showed two professionals who really came to win.

The eye of media.com accurately predicted the outcome of the Chisora fight, with the editor and myself both from the start, going for a landslide victory for Dillian Whyte in his grudge match against Derek Chisora.  Joshua ‘s win against Molina was also easy to predict in terms of a winner but not a precise round.

Nisse Sauerland told Sky Sports : Saturday was the greatest fight I have seen from ringside, both fighters deserve a huge amount of credit. The fight was close, but after reading everyone’s comments or rewatching the fight, my opinion is the same. I think Derek Chisora deserved the victory, or at the very least, a draw”

The fight lived up to its hype for every scintillating moment of the 12 rounds. Derek Chisora and Dillian Whyte both had their moments of brilliance , with each fighter at times looking like the one who would finish the fight conclusively.

Round by round, both heavyweights meant business as they fired away, shot after shot.  Chisora looked the busier of the two when it came to trying to end the fight, but Whyte was typically durable  and game for Chisora who was all action in the ring for every minute of every round.

Whyte appeared to be the more composed when it came to recovering from every particular assault Chisora threw at him.  Dillian Whyte balanced his aggressive attack with the technical use of his jab,  many times counteracting the relentless attack coming from Chisora’s way, without being able to dominate the fight.

After the endurance shown by Whyte in his only defeat to Anthony Joshua last year, his extraordinary fighting spirit was never in dispute.before this fight.

Whyte won  the fight by a very small margin of 115-114 on a split decision , a draw may truly  actually have been a fairer result for the fight.  These two heavyweights are real warriors, and this fight was too close for any fighter to emerge a loser from it. Whyte was the better fighter technically speaking, always remembering to show clean shots from time to time. It still was too close to call, but the clean technical boxing might have been the deciding factor.
