Convicted Drug Dealer Connor Gregory Escapes From Custody

By James Simons-

A convicted drug dealer, Connor Gregory from Portsmouth has gone missing from custody.

Police say he was charged and convicted in July 2015 for possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A – MDMA; possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B – Cannabis and resisting or obstructing a constable.

>Gregory was sentenced in September 2015 but the sentence was referred to the court of appeal for being unduly lenient.

The successful referral and Connor was given a sentence of three years in prison. But fast Gregory is nowhere to be found and now missing, with police desperately wanting to know his whereabouts. This is funny when one considers that the police cells and jails are expected to be the most secure place of confinement. Secure from escape, even if not necessarily safe from attack.
This laughable blunder should lead to more serious questions as to how he escaped in the first place.

PROCEEDS

Gregory is somewhere enjoying the proceeds of his drug dealing, and probably laughing hard and describing to his entertained friends, just how he slipped away and evaded detection.  It is unlikely anybody in the drug world who will shop him to police. It will have to be a rival or someone who does not like him that will call police. Or it may be the bored grandmother  keeping watch of the streets from her window, who may tip police off.
My bet is that he is lying low under the accommodated protection of a trusted friend or family, where he is probably getting high, listening to music, and keeping updated with any news about his escape. No information has been given about how he escaped and whether an inquiry into those failings will be made.
Connor Gregory will be hailed by his friends for his somewhat miraculous escape. And if he could escape from custody, it will be easier for him to escape getting caught on the streets, if he lies low indoors and comes back out disguised, as he is likely to do. One thing Connor Gregory will not do is hand himself in.
