CLINTON EDGING TRUMP IN WHITE HO– USE BATTLE

CLINTON EDGING TRUMP IN WHITE HO– USE BATTLE

BY SAMMIE JONES

Mrs. Clinton  is edging Donald Trump in a tough battle for the White House.  She is the more dignified and intelligent candidate for the White House, but faces a tough and defiant contender who has no fears or boundaries in his quest for the White House.

Trump has already taken the unrestrained brave step of labelling her husband and former President of the United States, Bill Clinton, a rapist- though to be more precise, she accused him of rape. He has shown  an intolerable dislike for immigrants, and has scared and upset the international Muslim community with his advanced warnings that all Muslims will be banned from America in the event of him becoming President. The extra mile suggesting that South Korea and Japan be permitted to develop nuclear arms makes him in Hilary’s words ”unfit for presidency”. However unfit he may seem for presidency, the fact remains that if he manages to gain enough votes to win the final election, it will qualify him for the job occupied by the most powerful man in the world. Clinton is edging the race in terms of popularity, even though she has her critics among the electorates and the commentators too.

However, Trump’s direct and transparent offensive has its own appeal to an audience that like the sort of rhetoric he spits and agree with his radical and confrontational approach to various matters. It will be a lie to suggest that there aren’t many Americans who agree with him totally on what resembles a zero tolerance to immigrants and Muslims, the main question being whether more people are turned off by that sort of seemingly discriminatory language than those who wholeheartedly welcome it. Common sense will suggest that the odds will generally be against him, but common sense doesn’t always prevail in life.  Mrs. Clinton herself launched some political assaults against him, by attacking Mr. Trump for not releasing his tax returns and presenting  him as a cold corporate titan who profited off the housing crisis.

Ken Salazar – a potential Clinton running mate, said the campaign should  contrast between Mr. Trump’s shortcomings with Mrs. Clinton’s potential to be “the most qualified person to be president in our lifetime.” In a disclosed email, she stated:
“The campaign needs to expose Donald Trump as the opposite — selfish, egomaniac, divisive and unqualified to be president.”  And Jennifer Palmieri, a spokeswoman for the Clinton campaign, said that the news coverage Mr. Trump is receiving is not helping him. She said that unlike Mr. Trump, who uses “nothing but his own mouth,” Mrs. Clinton has a campaign that employs many methods of communication, including videos, respected surrogates and bilingual outreach. “We hear from friends who think we should act more like Trump or criticize us for sometimes using traditional communications tactics,” she said. “But we don’t think that’s the answer.” she is right because Clinton should not fight at Trump’s lower level, but rather at a more sophisticated level. The revelations relating to her use of a private email server when she was secretary of state, has not helped her image in this bitter election campaign, but she will overcome that hurdle in due course.  In a report delivered this past week to Congress, the State Department’s inspector general strongly criticized her for the practice. She will learn from it, she has no choice, and needs to set a sharp lead against Trump to make her victory clear. She is edging Trump in the White House battle even from a perspective of perception and presentation, although a stronger approach of attack may be necessary to discredit his failings more glaringly.

Concerns of a limited strategy in the  competitive front against Mr. Trump has led to suggestions and recommendations that the Clinton campaign bring on a senior staff member dedicated only to the Trump portfolio.
A high-level person in the campaign whose sole job is to respond to Trump, almost on an hourly basis,”  is needed according to Mr. Schumer, who is working on that process. This comment shows a desperate need for someone to counter Trump a lot more effectively than currently is the case; this is how their pubic statements come across.

Clinton talks a lot more sense  and comes across as a more credible candidate for the White House by miles. Mr. Trump suggested he would reduce the national debt by negotiating with creditors to accept something less than full payment, has been laughed off as ludicrous by his critics, most notably Gene Sperling, a former senior economic adviser to President Obama and Mr.Clinton.

Dan Pfeiffer, a former senior adviser to Mr. Obama. “You have to take the threat of Trump becoming president seriously, but you shouldn’t treat him as a serious person,” he stated. That judgement is not very accurate, for Trump is a serious person, just seriously flawed in may of his principles and ideals for a vast country like America. He remains a dangerous opponents, and it will be interesting to see how this election fleshes out with time.
