A female Christian refugee has been murdered by a religious fanatic for changing her religion.
The 36-year-old woman was stabbed repeatedly in the town of Prien am Chiemsee after the 29-year-old man, also a refugee, shouted something in his mother tongue to her. The woman had just attended a church service but had no male presence from the church in her company.
He continued stabbing the woman in the presence of her two children who are 5 and 11 until passers-by and the police got him away from her. He has been taken to a psychiatric unit nearby. Prosecutors are said to be in the process of getting a certified interpreter to interpret the words of the man, according to German paper Bild, which reported on the awful murder.
RIFE
Killings over religious conversion are rife in a number of Muslim countries, with such abandoning if the faith deemed as apostasy. However, murdering someone because of a change of belief is heartless and wicked, making the killer far worse than any offense the victim could have committed. It remains unclear why the man is in a mental institution, he should be in a jail cell.
HELPLESS
This horrific attack on a helpless woman is extremely sad and unfortunate. Passers-by would have been justified to physically attack and manhandle the man , who deserved a beating. A psychiatric unit does not reflect the seriousness of the offence committed by this evil man who surely knew what he was doing.
