Chris Brown Under Investigation For Battery Of Woman

Chris Brown is reportedly under investigation for battery, after a woman alleged he smacked her in the back of the head.

The police were  called to the singer’s home in Los Angeles over the weekend, where an unnamed women said Brown had hit her in the head so hard that ‘her weave came out.’

LAPD officers  filed a report of a battery incident, with Brown named as the only suspect. The singer was not arrested and no official charges have been filed.

The woman’s hair was dislodged and no other injuries were reported at the scene. TMZ reports the investigation will likely be handed to the City Attorney, with Brown facing a misdemeanour charge if officials choose to pursue a case against him.

Chris Brown has a  history of violence against women. In 2009, he pled guilty to felony assault after attacking then-girlfriend Rihanna in a car, for which he was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to stay 50 yards away from the singer.

In 2017, his former girlfriend Karrueche Tran was granted a five year restraining order against Brown, after testifying under oath that he had been physically abusive, while a year earlier police were called to Brown’s house by a woman who said he had threatened her with a gun.

Brown has also been arrested for several incidents involved altercations with men. As a result of his criminal record, he is currently believed to be banned from entering several countries including the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

Brown has been featured on several successful singles such as “No Air”, a duet with singer Jordin Sparks. In 2009, In the same year of the incident there was the release of his third album Graffiti, which was considered to be a commercial failure compared to his previous works.

After  Graffiti, Brown’s fourth album F.A.M.E.  became one of his biggest successes, being his first to top the Billboard 200, containing internationally successful singles such as “Yeah 3x”, “Look at Me Now” and “Beautiful People”, also earning him the Grammy Award for Best R&B Album.[4] His fifth album Fortune, released in 2012, also topped the Billboard 200.

Following the releases of X and Royalty, his 2017 critically acclaimed eighth studio album, and first double-disc, Heartbreak on a Full Moon, consisting of 45 tracks, was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America for combined sales and album-equivalent units of over 500,000 units after one week, and in 2019 it has been certified Double Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Having  sold over 140 million records worldwide, Brown is one of the world’s best-selling music artists. Throughout He  has won several awards, including a Grammy Award, 15 BET Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, and six soul train movie awards.

Given his wide accomplishments, it would be a shame if he were to be convicted of this offence. is image would be tarnished in such an outcome.
