Chisora and Fury clash is a genuine 50-50 affair

article-2582583-1C5D2BAF00000578-622_634x471Derek Chisora has dubbed Tyson Fury a boxer of limited substance who has built his reputation on hype, and claims he will expose him when the pair clash this Saturday at the 02 arena. Chisora, who quickly left the imperial war museum after a press conference to promote their fight, said Fury had paid shamed Max Clifford a high monthly wage to promote him, adding that Fury had not achieved anything of substance in the sport to date, except hype.
”I have won the British and European title, but what has Tyson Fury won, he asked. He has built his reputation on thrash talk and hype, he has called me a journey man in the build up to this fight , but I will like to see whether he will be prepared to say he lost to a journey man after I have knocked him out. I have no doubt I will stop him in this fight, he has had a lot of inactivity this year, lost a lot of weight, and that will cost him on the night. I am not going to give him any chance”. Chisora’s comments came after a relatively calm press conference in which the usual antics of insolence and hostility that accompany fights like these was conspicuously absent. Fury himself had been composed and relaxed, hailing Frank Warren’s night of ‘bad blood’ as one comprising excellent 50-50 fights, including his.

Interestingly, both camps are supremely confident of victory. Chisora’s trainer, Don Charles, said ”people will see Derek do things they have never seen him do before. I can’t see Tyson Fury going the full 12 rounds with Chisora. Chisora will stop him in the last five rounds. Assertively dismissing the opinions of experts who have tipped Fury to win, Charles insists his fighter has faced much better opponents and that Peter Fury cannot possibly prepare his man well enough to beat Chisora. ”I’ll have it on record that Peter Fury is a better trainer than me if Fury beats Chisora on Saturday, Don Charles said. I have trained 3 champions, what champions has Peter Fury trained? Let’s not forget that Chisora was only the 4th out of his(Vitali’s) 43 victims to go the full distance with Vitali Klitschko. He got robbed against Robert Helenius, and Helenius is a stronger and better schooled fighter than Fury, he is a much better combination fighter. All Fury is basing his confidence on is the fact he beat Chisora last time, but Chisora had a lot of private issues last time and was not adequately prepared. I am a hard worker, and I have worked very hard and strategically to prepare my guy for this fight. Chisora works better against taller fighters and on top of that Fury has had one fight in 18 months. There are many factors that will work against him this Saturday, I can’t wait for this fight.

Fury reacted saying ”so what, I paid Clifford £18grand a month for promotion. Chisora can believe what he wants , we will see what happens, it’s not long to go now”. Meanwhile, Eddie Chambers, also present at the press conference said ” I know Chisora has done a lot of training for this fight, but I just can’t see any possible way he can nullify the range of skills and abilities Fury brings to the table. I have sparred people like Chisora before and from sparring Fury I can tell you it is very, very unlikely that Chisora will win. Anything can happen in heavyweight boxing, but I think Fury will stop him. He is superior in every department, and it will take something special to make up for Chisora to make up for the gap in size. He has been in two training camps and has a lot of pent up frustration resulting from the aborted fights, including David Haye. He has a lot of engine in his tank and gets stronger, the longer the fight goes. I just can’t see Chisora winning at all”. In response to this Don Charles said” Chambers is a yes man, he can’t replicate what Chisora will bring to the table because he is not as versatile as Chisora. Fury has just hyped himself up by talking himself up and paying lots of money to boost his name. He was once on the front page of boxing news, when ever has Derek Chisora, the current European Champion, been the centre of big coverage? All that will change once he beats Fury, and I am very confident he will emerge victorious. There are many factors t

This fight promises to be an entertaining spectacle, with both boxers particularly motivated by the opportunity of a shot at Klitschko. Chisora has been on a winning streak of six fights since his knock out defeat in the hands of David Haye, and has truly been in with better opposition than Fury, although he has lost all his big fights. Notwithstanding, Fury’s incredible physical dimensions of height and reach, allied to a high work rate, makes him the preferable option to face Wladimir Klitschko for the coveted championship belts. Fury is unbeaten in 22 fights and therefore currently a stranger to defeat. His frequent outrageous outbursts is also a big fight seller, even though it does often reflect badly on him . Though the unbeaten 6ft. 9 contender to the throne is the favourite, this fight really is a genuine 50-50 on the scale of probability. There are a number of reasons to lean towards either of the two fighters when attempting to predict the outcome. A part of me leans towards Chisora, but I’ll sit on the fence on this one since it is hard to bet against a man who has comfortably got off the canvas on the two occasions he was knocked to the floor. This is a hard one to call, but a stoppage by either man will be most commendable, and the best result of his career to date. We won’t blink.

The undercard featuring Billy Joe Saunders and Chris Eubank Jr, should also be a fascinating affair, one I think Saunders may just about edge on points.
