Cheeky Fury Says Dangerous Wilder Has Just Punchers Chance Against Him

By Tim Parsons-

Cheeky Fury has derided WBC king, Deontey Wilder, by saying the unbeaten American world heavyweight champion only has a punchers chance against him.

Fury, who fights Tom Schwarz  in the U.S on June 15  had praised Wilder’s one round knockout victory aganst Dominic Breazeale on Saturday, calling him the ”most destructive puncher in the heavyweight division” . . However, the outspoken unbeaten gypsy king who held Wilder to a draw last December at The Barclays Centre has called Wilder a “bum”  and a dosser, telling TMZ Sports that Wilder has got a puncher’s chance – that’s it. This is after Fury announced that his rematch will Wilder will not happen for another year around March/April 2020.

With the delay to a rematch with dangerous Wilder, it is nothing more than an insult and thrash talk when Fury calls Wilder names.

“Like I said, Wilder is a massive dosser, and he works for me. That’s all Wilder is, he’s a big bum dosser, bum city – anytime, any place, anywhere.Fury has continued to claim victory in their controversial fight after most observers felt he deserved the win in a fight where he was dropped twice and miraculously got up the second time. Judges at ringside disagreed with Fury and the world of observers, and gave the draw verdict which led to calls for a rematch, with the WBC immediately ordered.

Plans for the rematch was aborted when Bob Arum gatecrashed the scene and made Fury an offer of an estimated four fights under his promotional banner with ESPN. Strangely, Fury claims Wilder is running away from him despite the common knowledge it was the gypsy man whose arrangements changed following the big money offer. Fury who derives satisfaction from having a dig at his rivals criticised Anthony Joshua for allegedly dodging Wilder, before accusing Wilder himself of running away from him[Fury]

Fury told ESPN. “He[Anthony Joshua] uses that a lot as an excuse, but I believe that if fighters really wanted to fight each other — as I proved. I was on BT Sport, I came over to the United States and boxed on Showtime. These fights can happen. Why not do a joint broadcast? It’s been done before, and it will happen again.

“Deontay Wilder can’t run from Tyson Fury forever. The fight has to happen,”. “What I suggest Anthony Joshua does, is to get his nuts out of Eddie Hearn’s handbag, and use it to gain respect in the heavyweight division.”When we fight again, I promise he’ll be looking at the stars.”“If he’s got anything to say, come see me. We’ll have a bare knuckle fight in Times Square this evening.”

Fury has always been an interesting character, but he tends to make contradictory statements at times that make him appear the clown when he intelligent man who knows what he is saying.
