The family and friend’s of the  late television presenter, Caroline Flack, are set to raise money for suicide-prevention charity Samaritans with a two-day mountain hike. The Love Island star tragically died by suicide at the age of 40 last February , leaving her fans and friends left heartbroken.

There was uproar at the time about the Crown Prosecution (CPS) decision to charge the star for assaulting her then boyfriend, Lewis Burton, over cheating fears. The CPS defended their decision, stating it was necessary to charge Ms Flack.

The presenter’s personal trainer Bradley Simmonds launched the new challenge called Climb For Caroline, which will see a number of Caroline’s loved ones climb the peaks of mountains across the Lake District – to awareness and funds for suicide prevention charity Samaritans.

Bradley told BBC Breakfast this morning: “I was Caroline’s personal trainer and good friend. I was devastated at the loss and still am.”

’ The group will be climbing the highest peak in England to raise money and awareness for the charity. While he was unable to confirm any names, Bradley hinted that some of Caroline’s famous friends will be taking part, saying: ‘We’ve got some really good names and really good friends of Caroline…we’ve got some of her close family.’ ‘We’re all really excited to be raising money in Caroline’s name,’ he added.
