Caroline Flack Revised Autobiography Reveals Phobia For Dying

By Sheila Mckenzie-

Caroline Flack had a phobia for dying induced by a series of child hood traumas, added segments to her autobiography reveal. The revised autobiography includes painful childhood experiences intensified by an extreme level of anxiety.

Flack whose death upset hard core lovers of ITV series, Love Island, was found dead at her Stoke Newington home the day after Valentine’s day. She could ot face the embarrassment and shame that would follow a court case for assault she had been told by the CPS would go on despite her boyfriend,Lewis Burton, dropping the charges.

The former Love Island host had to endure bail conditions which meant she could not see her boyfriend before the end of the case. Worst of all, her anxiety meant that she could not cope with the thought or possibility of going to prison. It was a terrifying ordeal she chose to end by taking her own life.

Last month it was revealed that Storm in a C Cup would be reprinted due to increase in demand following Caroline’s tragic death. The Love Island host took her own life at her north London home on February 15 at the age of 40. Her death has touched so many people who spoke of her infectious smile and spirit.

Thousands signed a petition calling for laws to make it a criminal offence for the press to bully celebrities or anybody to the point it leads to them committing suicide. However, legal experts with whom the idea was discussed believed it would be difficult to prove, but some people are still exploring the idea.

Caroline’s autobiography reveals how she developed a phobia of dying following a string of childhood traumas, including the murder of a school friend. Johanna Young was just 14 and  in the year above Caroline when she disappeared in Christmas 1992. When young’s body was found not far from her house on boxing day, it affected Caroline’s father a great deal, and he became scared something  bad might happen to her daughter one day.

DEVASTATED

She was also devastated by the death of her grandfather who lost his life to cancer. She describes it as the moment her ‘childhood ended.’ She said she had been furious with her parents who didn’t let her know her beloved grandfather was dying and didn’t allow her and twin sister Jody to the funeral. The family were then dealt another blow when Caroline’s uncle Reggie died very soon after.

It is so sad to see that deaths in her family and school had a big impact on her mind and intensified her anxieties in a way that eventually led to her own untimely demise. Surely, a lot can be learnt from it.
