Brussels Ulterior Motive To Block Uk Trade Deal

By Eric King-

Brussels ulterior motive in rejecting Theresa May’s Brexit plan is to prevent UK businesses from saving billions of pounds.
It has been revealed that the EU Commission’s internal studies have calculated that if the UK were allowed to trade in Europe, it would provide savings for firms of €6billion a year.

The leaks revealed by politico restricts the chances of the UK ending up with an agreement with the EU. An insider told the British paper that they are “very similar” to Britain’s preparations that seek to make our departure as smooth as possible. Brussel’s secret plans show an insincere agenda to scupper a harmonious agreement, and calls for urgent intervention to hold EU bosses to account. Ulterior motives to derail successful talks are corrupt, those EU bullies should be stopped in their tracks.

A source in the European Commission said its contingency plans are similar to Britain’s plan to smooth the divorce by continuing to recognise each other’s standards for a limited period and keeping the borders open to all but high-risk goods. Also revealed was that during a briefing on the Prime Minister’s Chequers deal the chief negotiator Michel Barnier and his team were so angry they wanted to boycott the talks altogether.

the country’s GDP — the savings for U.K. firms would potentially be much higher if they are released from the full spectrum of Brussels regulations on services. “Potentially there are dozens of regulations applied to services that could be affected,” said Stephen Booth, director of policy and research at the Open Europe think tank.

The despised UK proposals suggest the Uk will stay in close alignment with EU rules on goods while leaving the single market and customs union. It will also mean that firms would no longer be bound by EU regulations on services – which aim to create a level playing field between businesses in different countries. The revelation is in conjunction with other findings by politico that four officials who attended at the meeting said the Commission offered a “very negative assessment of the Chequers proposal”.

Their report said: “Barnier’s team were adamant that if Britain formally put forward the plan then it should boycott the talks altogether, according to two officials. The news is a disappointment and shows the lack of integrity of individuals who are supposed to be highly placed officials. These shameful leaders should be thorough embarrassed about their actions.
