Attempted Murder Convict On Remand Pleads Guilty To Malicious Communication To Ex Partner

By Gavin Mackintosh-

A man who  had just come out of jail after an 11  year stretch of attempted murder, has pleaded guilty for threats to kill against his former girlfriend, Sarah Batesman.

Kieran Bruff was jailed in 2009 after he and two of his acquaintances met their victim in the park, beat him up, and returned with two stolen bottles of lighter fluid to douse the victim.

Despite being set alight and beaten by the three men, the victim managed to put the flames out himself, and was lucky to survive the attack. He had to receive medication. Mr Bruff claimed he had no part in the petrol, that all he did was participate in beating the man up. The trio had attacked the man due to rumours that he was a paedophile, but they had no clear evidence to support what they heard. Mr Bruff eventually was released from jail on license in 2020, only to breach his terms of probation by threatening his former girlfriend.

On Thursday, Mr Bruff  pleaded guilty at Bow Magistrates Court for malicious communication to the family of Ms Bateman, after their relationship broke down, and the pair began exchanging insults on phone. Oddly, Ms Bateman is mother to one of Kieron’s many siblings.

Officers from the Met police spent about a week looking for Bruff who was on license, as he went on the run following a pre-warning from his former girlfriend that she would call police on him. They obtained a warrant to search his sister’s house in London, before travelling to Essex, to his fathers residence in search if the convict.

Bruff’s father, himself a jail bird of many years, contacted The Eye Of Media.Com to investigate what he said was a set up by the woman who was allegedly hurt that Mr.Bruff had split up with her. He said at the time on phone: ” I trust you guys, and know you are thorough when it comes to investigations”. The 53 year old had already courted one of our team a few weeks earlier to investigate a suspect fraud

Bruff wanted Bateman investigated and exposed for accusing his son of criminal damage, after informing police that she had not been with the criminal for months since April.

Meanwhile cops had searched his mother and his sister’s houses in London, before obtaining a warrant to search his father’s house in Westcliff, Essex.  Bruff eventually agreed to hand himself in on the grounds that this publication submitted the findings of an investigation to police, which he expected would disprove the claims of criminal damage against him.

However, the 33 year old was caught when he decided to first stop at his mother’s property in mile end, where he was immediately arrested and remanded at Thames Valley prison.

His guilty plea means he will likely spend more time in prison.

Before Bruff was arrested, the twisted criminal, who says he was on course to lead a new life,  gave The Eye Of Media.Com an extensive interview about his life history, and the factors he believes has made him the person he is.

They include sexual abuse at the age of 15, and psychological distress caused by the fact his father  has 15 kids from different women, and many other factors.
