Undignified pop star, Madonna stooped low at her Manchester gig by telling her crowd to shut the fxxxx up after she was booed for turning up an hour late on stage.
The 57 year old pop star Madonna who was an hour late for her 9 o’clock date with her fans lacked the decency and polish to address her crowd with class, but instead proceeded to dish out unedifying language, believing her status to absolve her from all responsibility of mature and reasonable presentation.
”I don’t like to be late by the way, alright? And all you bitches who keep complaining about it can shut the fxxx up”, she distastefully exclaimed. I’m not back there eating chocolate, filling my nails and getting my extensions done, all right? Explaining her lateness, she ranted ” the video crashed, we had to wait until we could reboot. No selfish and diva reason. If you diva bitches want to keep complaining about it, don’t come to my show”.
How cool is Madonna? Not cool at all. One thing this female needs to understand is that celebrity status is not always synonymous with class. At her age, one expects a lot more sense from her and she exhibited a lot of immaturity in the manner she dealt with her fans. The Michigan born singer whose world acclaim emanated from a career in dance culminating in a series of films that earned her a Golden Globe award for Best Actress, has been a gem in the music industry. Recognized by the Guinness book of Records as the best selling recording artist of all times, she has sold over 300 million records world wide and the recording artist industry association of America has listed her as the best selling female record artist of the 20th century.
The biggest female tourist artist of all times, she is estimated to have grossed in excess of a billion dollars. Hence, the reason for her arrogance is clear to see, but success doesn’t buy class! Her success is impressive, and worthy of much plaudits, but a matching degree of class and quality is necessary at all times. This legendary and accomplished singer betrayed her the clout that normally accompanies a woman of her stature, and we hope she offers an unreserved apology to her fans at some point.
OUTBURST
Madonna’s outburst telling fans not to come to her show if they are going to keep complaining reflects arrogance of epic proportions. A number of people at the show expressed huge disappointment at her childish antics.
Mary Anderson, 22, from Manchester told eye of media : ” I was very disappointed at her behavior, it is something, you would expect from a spoiled 12 year old. I’ll never attend another one of her shows again, she is such a turn off”. Her friend , Sarah Martins, echoed her: ” it was really low of her to behave this way. She should have been understanding that people were naturally frustrated at the delay of her appearance. People had trains to catch at the end of the night, some had buses to catch. People were thinking ahead . I think she is very arrogant, and I won’t listen to another Madonna song ever again”
Madonna later stated she was fined for going over the venue’s curfew, despite cutting three songs from the set list She wrote:
“FACTS: its good to have them before you jump to conclusions! The entire video for my show crashed as I arrived for sound check. The back up file was corrupt. We had no choice but to reboot and pray for a good outcome. The video lights 75% of my show. We can’t play in the dark. We were rebooted and ready by 9:30 even though we planned to go on earlier. I had to make cuts in show before show started. ‘Dress You Up’ was one of them and my third guitar song. This still brought us past the 11:00 curfew! But we went on and the venue was kind enough to extend till 11:39! It was there choice not mine to end the show! Always want to finish. So we all missed the last three songs! And I’m sorry about that. And I thank all my Rebel Heart fans for understanding! We did our best! And we still had to pay a fine! That life. PS you still got to see an amazing show. And only missed 12 minutes!! The #rebelhearttour? goes on”.
Her explanation for the lateness can be accepted, but her attitude really stinks! She needs to grow up, we thought she already was grown up, but how wrong we were. Attempts to contact her agent for a response about he behavior proved futile, though this will be pursued at some later date.
