Andy Ruiz Vows To Repeat Stunning Conquest Of Anthony Joshua

By Gabriel Princewill-

Andy Ruiz Jr has vowed to repeat his stunning conquest of Anthony Joshua when the pair meet in Saudi Arabia in December.  Ruiz  dethroned Britain heavyweight’s darling last  June, seizing all his belts in 7 rounds of  serious drama.

The 25-1 outsider bullied Joshua after being first dropped in the third round, to which he bravely got up.  The pair embarked on a three-day press tour in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday. The Mexican was insistent in his speech to reporters that his summer victory was no mistake and he is intent on bashing Joshua again when the pair meet for their rematch.  It is a tough challenge for both fighters, but Joshua will be expected to show his inner championships qualities to win this important fight. It won’t be easy, and Ruiz is determined to keep his belt.

“I’m going to make history again and win in the same fashion and prove everybody wrong.” Joshua knows he has to conquer Ruiz and get his belts back in style. The pair will meet again in New York on Thursday and again in London on Friday, said: “I felt I was up against a good challenger at the time i’m going to make history again and win in the same fashion and prove everybody wrong.”

Joshua will come face-to-face with Ruiz in New York on Thursday and again in London on Friday. He said: “I felt I was up against a good challenger at the time.  He said at the press conference: “Two warriors will go to war and the best man will walk out victorious.
“I’m really looking forward to the challenge and I’m glad people here are supporting boxing.”

Joshua, who won the 2012 London Olympic games, then after being celebrated  for successive explosive knockout out victories, he in 2016 stopped  Wladimir Klitschko in 2016 to become world champion and was widely celebrated by boxing fans as Britain’s most loved boxer. His reputation has taken a bit of a knock since his comprehensive defeat by Andy Ruiz Jnr, with some observers suggesting he should have taken a warm up fight before the rematch. But Joshua is confident of revenge just before the festive season begins  and knows defeat is not an option.
