Amazon Releases Video As Part Of Apple

By Charlotte Webster-

Amazon has released a video that is now part of Apple, pleasing Apple TV owners.

The streaming service can now be found on Apple’s 4K wi-fi connected box.

The app is compatible with the Siri remote, meaning users can voice search within Amazon’s catalogue – including Prime original shows – to request films and series.

PRECEDENT

Amazon released a statement saying: “Echo Show and Fire TV now display a standard web view of YouTube.com and point customers directly to YouTube’s existing website. Google is setting a disappointing precedent by selectively blocking customer access to an open website. We hope to resolve this with Google as soon as possible.

The long-awaited launch comes as Google continues its dispute with Amazon over its streaming service. Google has pulled You Tube app support from Amazon Echo Show and Amazon’s own Fire TV streaming box in retaliation to Amazon not selling Chrome cast and Google Home on its online store.

“We’ve been trying to reach agreement with Amazon to give consumers access to each other’s products and services,” a YouTube spokesperson said.

“But Amazon doesn’t carry Google products like Chrome cast and Google Home, doesn’t make Prime Video available for Google Cast users. Last month they stopped selling some of Nest’s latest products.
