TEXAS MAN SENTENCED TO LIFE FOR DRINK DRIVING

 BY AARON MILLER

A man has been sentenced to life imprisonment for driving whilst intoxicated.

A judge in Montgomery County, Texas sentenced the man to life in prison for driving while intoxicated –  the ninth time he had been guilty of driving behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol since 1980. The serial offender pleaded guilty to hitting the car driven by a police officer’s son.

Donald Middleton was arrested after he got into a car accident last month involving the 16-year-old son of a county constable. The county constable wasted no time in catching the reckless driver and presenting him before a court. Judge Kathleen Hamilton delivered the  tough sentence following a three-day  hearing. Middleton fled the scene and attempted to hide in a nearby convenient store, but was detected and quickly apprehended.

Prosecutors and police expressed shock that Middleton had a valid license, especially with his terrible track record of drink driving. Middleton had been to the penitentiary on four separate occasions for drink driving, but like a typical fool necer learnt his lesson. He certainly beat the law by having a license, or the law was extremely careless. Some in his neighborhood told the eye of media.com that he may have been using a fake drivers license, adding that expert rogues are able to fool police with fraudulent licenses. Either way, he will never have a chance to re-offend.
