Olly Mur pulled a crowd at a signing in Chelmsford, Essex on Friday which saw fans flood to see th star.
The British pop star conducted three signings and personal appearances to mark his album’s release. The other two events were in Manchester and Birmingham
The Essex born singer sets off on a new tour in 2019. The You Know, I Know tour takes in 18 dates around the UK including London, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, Belfast and Cardiff. Essex fans will be able to catch up with him at two gigs at The O2 in London on Thursday, May 16 and Friday, May 17, 2019. Fans with tickets were presented with a wristband once they got to HMV which gave them access to the store and Olly himself.
Avid fans submitted themselves to a long queue to meet the music star whose record comes with a bonus disc featuring 12 of the singer’s biggest hits. It follows 2016’s 24 Hrs, which hit No.1 and has sold 387,140 copies, according to the Official Charts Company. Almost all of Murs previous albums have debuted at No 1, with two passing the 1 million sales mark
The singer said You Know I Know, which includes collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Shaggy and Nile Rogers, represents a return to his roots. “It’s about coming back to that, I’m in a different place, re-energized, reinvigorated, with new music and fresh songs.” An exited Murs had earlier in the day fallen off his bed as he stripped to inform his twitter followers of his new album, worthy of celebrating in advance. The British singer song writer from Wiltham Essex came to prominence after coming sixth in the 2009 X factor series.
