Thomas Markle, the father of Meghan Merkle, will meet prince Harry for the first time next week, when he arrives in the UK , Kensington Palace said.
Thomas and Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, are also set meet the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh when they arrive in Britain in the next week.le will also be walking his daughter Markle down the aisle, despite rumours that the pair are estranged. However, Markle and his daughter will be putting all that aside, and have probably addressed any differences they have.
Included in her list to meet is Prince Charles, as well as Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
It has also been announced that Ms Markle will not have a maid of honour, and all of her bridesmaids and pageboys will be children. Ms Markle “has a very close-knit group of friends and did not want to choose between them”, Kensington Palace’s communications secretary Jason Knauf said. Attendance is expected to be at an all time high.
Kensington Palace released the new details two weeks until the royal wedding in Windsor on 19 May.
The Duke of Edinburgh, 96, will attend despite his absence from other royal events following a hip replacement last month
One of Princess Diana’s older sisters, Jane Followers is also expected to give a reading in a nod to the Spencer side of the family. Markle’s wedding to Prince Harry will be a world sensation, after a number of false starts with other girls who were going for the same position the string of girls who had hoped to be the bride to be featured on this special occasion.
