Crackheads are duping the Uk system by claiming to be sick, when in actual fact, they don’t want to work. The eye of media.com have discovered that many crackheads escape the usual scrutiny others on welfare benefit are subjected to by claiming to be mentally disabled.
In actual fact, most are capable of working but spend a lot of their time trying to score( hussling to buy crack) and getting high on crack purchased with the proceeds of stolen goods, after spending all their benefit money on crack pipes. Out of 50 crackheads spoken to by 3 members of our team , 90% of them (46/50) admitted that their benefits money was finished the same day they received it.
All 50 admitted that crack was the first thing they spent their money on as soon as they received their benefit payment, with just over 80% of them admitting to having racked up debts between one period of benefits payments and the next. The thought that dominates their thoughts is getting high, as they waste their life away on a drug that evidently cracks their brains and turns them into the ultimate fool. Worst of all is the scary reality that many crack heads also indulge in heroine, as they sink so low into a life of addiction, theft, and deceit.
CRONIES
Many stay up through the night with their addicted cronies, smoking away and ordering more crack even in the early hours of the morning. A stupid as they are to be on a harmful drug like crack, they are smart and devious enough to exaggerate their mental condition , with may of them earning up to 800 pounds monthly for sitting on their ass and wasting their life.
27 year old Sharon from Wanstead told the eye of media .com ” I wish I could come off this habit, it is destroying me. I score (buy crack) from the time I wake up until the time I go to bed. It’s crazy, but a lot of my mates are the same and I now can see that I fell into the wrong crowd. I don’t know how I let that happen. I am always in debt and as soon as I get my money over half of it goes on debt, then I swing back in that vicious cycle of borrowing and debts. I feel trapped, I can’t get away from it”.
Sharon now lives in North London and goes by a nick name she refused to permit for publishing. She has lost her three children to social services and needs to prostitute herself daily to support her expensive and dangerous habit. ”I sometimes look at myself and ask how I got here, but I really don’t know. I don’t like selling my body, I don’t do it everyday. I prostitute about 3-4 times a week, and sometimes have to fight men who try to rob or cheat me”.
JOB
Some crackheads manage to hold a job, proving that it is possible to work. Another crackhead called Tom refused to disclose his age or what area he lives. However, he frequents east and some parts of South London, and holds a job as a builder, painter, and decorator. Explaining how he joggles work and a lifestyle of crack, he said: ” I admit I am a regular smoker of crack, but I do so only in the evenings, and not every single day. I am quite happy and comfortable working eight hours of the day without a pipe for most of it. I rarely take my pipe with me to work, and just get buy with fags and a few drinks on my lunch break. I only stay up most of the night to smoke on weekends, on weekdays, 2am is the latest I stay up to smoke”, he said.
Some people have really addictive personalities, but I think I can control mine. Most of the people I know, steal and knock people to support their habit, but I spend my hard earned money to support my habit”.
