Budding Actress Kara Lily Hayworth Gets Cilla Black Role

A budding actress has beaten thousands of people in open auditions for the lead role in a Cilla Black musical adaptation to be featured across the UK as from September.  Kara Lily Hayworth was over the moon when she discovered she will feature songs made famous by Cilla Black- an opportunity that will provide a boost to her career.
 The  beautiful 28 year old budding actress based in Buckinghamshire, but originally from Watford, actually looks like the young version of Cilla Black, who died in 2015 and. has hit her dream role after meeting Cilla as a youngster.
She said: “When I was 11 I was shopping out with my mum and bumped into Cilla and asked her for an autograph. I told her I wanted to be an actress – she laughed and said, ‘It’s a tough industry, but if you really work hard and go for it. The proud winner to showcase the spectacular musical adaptation, Hayworth said in a statement:
“She was a huge inspiration to me as a child; I grew up watching her on Blind Date every Saturday night with my nan. To be chosen to play her is such an honour and I’m so excited to take on the role. To open in her hometown of Liverpool is so special and a real privilege.”
Inspiration can go a long way in life in bringing dreams alive. The youngster, who queued up for hours at the London Dominion Theatre, had pursued a training course at the Central School of speech and Drama. She recently performed in secret cinema’s Moulin Rouge, adapted from the ITV series Cilla. However, after making it to the final 30, Hayworth’s star shun through as selectors knew she was the one for the highly coveted role.
Cilla Black was a television sensation to British television right from the 60’s, really capturing the public by the 90’s with television series like Blind Date and Surprise Surprise. Cilla Black’s death affected millions of ordinary Brits and  celebrities, she received a state funeral that was fitting to the impact she had on so many lives. written by BAFTA  award winner, Jeff Pope, it is directed by Bill Kenwright, Laurie Mansfield and  CillaBlack’s son Robert Willis. It opens at Cilla’s hometown at the Liverpool Empire from September 7th until the 16th, before being extended on a national tour.
